rayce! He wanted himself (a leopard seal) with the same creepy eyes and blank expression as the opossum from Fantastic Mr. Fox. XD If you've seen it, you'll get the reference... this is based partly on a screenshot of the character from the movie (mostly to get those eyes right!)

Randomly jumping in here. I saw the movie and I thought it was surprisingly good. If the movie did follow the book to the letter then it would be a very short movie because the book itself wasn't that long. They included everything that the book had and that makes me happy.
I know this is REALLY late, but the same people who under-rated it are the same people who go 'huh?' when you tell them how much work really goes into stop-motion animation versus the cookie-cutter computer animates movies these days especially. What ever happened to hand drawn animation? Oh, right, it costs too much. -_-
Well, computer animation isn't exactly "push a button and it's animated for you". A huge lot of hard work goes into CG films and cartoons, and they've definitely come a long way since the early days.
Hotel Transylvania, Rise of the Guardians, Guardians of Ga'Hoole, Despicable Me - there's lots of CGI films whose animation is just as, if not more impressive than what can be done by hand, especially nowadays. Badly animated films don't tend to do well in theatres, regardless of medium.
Hand drawn animation has its pros and cons, as does any other animation style. It is very expensive to use tens of thousands of sheets of paper to animate on, or hiring a team of hundreds of animators to hand animate every tiny detail, especially for the smaller animation companies which have come into popularity recently. That cost can be mitigated by using digital techniques without necessarily cutting the quality of the product. Gravity Falls is a good example of using computer generated elements without taking away from the end product.
