I dunno why this just occurred but, what do yinglets do when one of there own die? Like not dying from being eated or drowned, I mean as in they're dead and all or most of the body is there. Do they just leave it there? I guess in the wild that makes sense but not here or in the city, there would be alotta ying bodies and someone HAD to have made a complaint. Do they have funeral services? I'm guessing not but that would be pretty hilarious to watch.
"And on zis day Itipi went forever sleep , we shall now pay our respects"
*the few yings toss empty clams onto the body before dumping him outside the local butcher's.

I'm guessing they just drag the body out into the wilderness where it'll get picked apart by local scavengers and decompose in a place where it won't pose a health risk to the rest of the tribe. I don't think they have the strength or the patience to dig a real grave, and proper cremation would be pretty resource intensive for such a primitive community. It seems like dragging it a safe distance away would be their best bet, and in the city, there aren't really any organized communities of yinglets as far as we know. If they're a "pet" to a rich family, they probably get buried, and if they're a vagabond, they're probably disposed of in much the same way as the body of any other homeless person after it's discovered.
You had me laughing like an idiot after reading the description of what was going on in panel one. And admittedly, I was hoping to see that tail yank; it just sounds hot. *yank*
Anyway with that aside, I hope you had a good year (and decade, too). It was a good year for me; that's when I started reading, and I can't regret it.

Could also be that someone might be female, but can not create eggs. Hence is treated as "male" because they are their personal interests got them into farming before that was known and they are really good at it.
But this is VERY unlikely based from other info presented elsewhere.

I'm beginning to appreciate the level of thought that went into the design of this species—of course their legs make sense for waders. Their tails are counterbalance, and the long arms can easily reach the bottom to search for food. Their hands are a lot like a raccoon's, and I'll bet they're super sensitive. Huge eyes and ears for nocturnal survival as a less-than-apex predator...
Also, I harbour suspicions about 'Patriarch' Chakki. There's an interesting story there, I'll bet.

Hee, I was actually thinking about asking about that one in the water, then I read the description. As long as that one is okay...I think.
I gotta admit, I'm liking the little trinkets that Chakki seems to have on, like the things on the ear tips. It's kinda pretty actually.

I feel like Yinglets could adopt Skaven chitter-speak without much trouble. Their grammar is a little better than the Rats of Chaos though, so maybe it'd be a step down. =P
Pretty sure the Matriarch wouldn't approve, but you know how these idiots get an idea stuck in their heads...
