On very rare occasions when Routaro transforms, he becomes the dreaded “berserk mode”. This form of Routaro boasts razor sharp claws and teeth and a well muscled body, which enables him to chase down anything he sees as prey tirelessly. When Routaro goes berserk, he loses all control of himself and attacks anything and anyone, even close friends and family. As a result, Routaro leaves the town and travels deep into the woods and mountains to change. The reason for this transformation is unknown.
