Before we get into the next chapter some sour news. Those idiots are still laughing meanly behind my back. I don’t need that shit since I’ve struggled all my life. They are no better than those who have wronged me. Also to the one who's calling me an asshole needs to knock that shit off and I don’t need his pity. This isn’t funny at all. Also what happened to the right of free speech? I’m allowed to hate on what I want and talk about it. So don’t go calling me out on it.
On a good note someone else has posted the art of me and Meika, the naughty sex ones so far elsewhere and I really appreciate them doing that to help show support. So if you are reading this, thank you to whoever it was. This will help me get more views I feel. If there is anything else of mine you wish to post there please, continue. The sight is real but I'm not saying what it is yet. But know it does exist. Also more support has come in for my work so I must be doing something right.

Making Moves
Nicholas was recovering fast and in just a few days he was back to normal. It helped that he and Mia were practicing with sparring in the same ring Meika had once boxed with Tag when trying to cure him of The Shakes. It was all so the husky could be ready to get back into the game for the next race. Besides being interviewed by Ms. Dira and Alfred, the guy did appear with Becks and Beaks to talk about his feelings and what his plans were. “One accident isn’t going to stand in my way,” Nicholas stated. “It takes more than that to stop me. From now on I certainly will be more careful as I continue to race during this season.”
He and Meika were even closer than ever but still hadn’t said anything yet about their feelings of love for the other. But that was okay because the male was busy anyways during the recovery process. Nicholas was glad his car was ready to go for the next event. In the present it now found him back in the ring with Mia, the two exchanging blows. “Looks like you’ve really recovered from that accident!” she stated.
“Yeah, now get ready!” the male shot back.
They kept at it a bit more before the guy held up a paw. “Enough!” he stated with a grin. “That will do.”
The two went to get some water from some bottles on the side. Nicholas let out breath of relief and happiness. “It feels good to be back in it!” the husky commented.
“Yeah I hope the others feel the same way,” the panda said. “Especially Meika.”
“Yeah, I heard from Sonny and Tag how relieved she was to see me awake. Maybe I’ve got a shot after all with getting with her.” By this point he had told the Panda about being in love with the vixen like he had with Sonny. She was the second one to know this. But the panda hadn’t made any mention yet that Meika felt the same way about the husky.
“Well then, shall we go one more round?”
“Yeah, let me see first though if Meika is around,” Nicholas said, grabbing his phone. “We haven’t sparred in months and it’d be good to have a fun round with her. It’s glad to see her smiling again. I can’t imagine her and the others not having one right now since I’m back on my feet.”
Ironically while the husky was saying that Tag didn’t have a smile on his face. The tiger was deep in thought in his garage. He, Meika, Sonny, and Meelo were at a table playing a card game while Miles was working on The Ripper. The guy then got a grin as he presented his full hand. Meelo stated he topped that and then Meika said she did, showing her cards. Sonny closed his eyes with frustration. “You guys have no idea how to play this game, do you?” the bear asked.
“Not a clue, sorry,” Tag replied.
“There’s too many rules!” Meika said.
“I didn’t even want to play,” Meelo commented.
“Alright, let’s go through the rules, again,” Sonny stated.
“I… should help Miles out,” Tag replied.
“I’m feeling a bit light-headed,” Meika commented.
“And I have to- whatever, I don’t care,” Meelo said. Those three got up from the table.
“Alright, alright I get it.” Sonny turned to the owl in here. “How about you, Miles? Wanna go a round?”
“Oh sure,” he grunted. “I bet this car’s perfectly capable of fixing itself up!”
Meika brought out her phone and saw Nicholas had sent her a message. It did make sense since the guy had her number and everyone else’s contact information. It read, “Just at the ring with Mia. Care to join?”
She replied back, “In a bit. See ya there.” That was why the female wasn’t paying any attention to the conversation the males were having. That is until looking up and she saw Meelo being cut off from a stern look from Miles after trying to make a suggestion when it came to The Ripper. “But I’m sure you’ll find the solution on your own,” the chameleon finished his statement. “Eventually.”
Just then a beeping nose was heard coming from his pocket. Meelo pulled his phone out. “Ugh. Come on,” he grumbled. “Not again.”
“What’s that?” Tag asked.
“For the past few weeks, someone has been trying to access my private systems.” Meika walked over, curious and Tag did to. “I’ve set up my firewalls to notify me whenever someone is trying to snoop around my databases.”
The vixen let out an amusing laughing, placing one paw on his shoulder for reassurance. “Quiet being so paranoid, Meelo!” she said. The reason for that wasn’t because of being a spy but rather because Meika thought there was nothing to worry about. “It’s just the security, doing random computer sweeps to make sure everything is in order.”
“She’s probably right Meelo,” Sonny agreed. “I mean, can you blame the RGP part of them? You’re done your fair share of snooping through their systems.” The other two racers laughed in response.
“Whatever,” Meelo replied. “Being ‘paranoid’ usually pays off, one way or another.”
Just then Meika’s phone vibrated. She looked again and to her surprise another message had come in but one from an unknown number. It read, “Lounge. Alone. Now.” This made her a bit frightened. It wasn’t Nicholas as she knew his number by heart and this wasn’t from any of her other friends. And this fear grew a bit when another message from the husky came in proving the second message really wasn’t from him. This one stated he was actually leaving the ring now as something else had come up and hopefully he and Meika could friendly spar next time. The vixen replied back to him right away that it was okay as something else had come up for her to sadly. Meika ended it with saying that she did look forward to it. “Alright guys, I’m off for another photo shoot,” the vixen stated to the males in here. It pained her to be lying but the lounge message did say alone. And if it was who she thought it was from, then it’d be a bad thing if the others came.
“Hold on,” Sonny called after her. “I’ll come with you.” The bear figured Nicholas would normally have gone but since there was no word from the husky, Sonny figured he could at least make sure Meika was okay for his friend.
“I don’t think so,” Meika replied with a grin. “Unless of course, you’re willing to put on a dress. I know for a fact, you look good in one.”
Everyone else looked at Sonny with questioning looks. “Er… long story,” he replied, embarrassed. “But… uh… you go ahead, Meika.”
“Catch up with you later,” she replied and walked to the door which opened and stopped seeing Tamira who was just about to enter. “Oh! Hi… Tamira.”
The vixen looked back at the others with a smile and walked off. “Hey, Tamira!” Tag called to the pantheress who walked in. “Nice of you to come and visit!”
“Actually, I’m looking for Meelo,” she replied then turned to the chameleon. “Coming?”
He nodded and Tag looked very disappointed. He thought he and the feline were close. Apparently not as much as he had hoped. Miles snapped a pic of his face and startled the male. The owl let out a laugh. “Yup, that’s definitely going into the collection,” the avian replied looking at the photo. “So what’s the deal Meelo… you ditching Vyxx for Tamira?”
Sonny saw the photo and laughed. Tag did to with the laugh but it was more of the nervous kind. “What?” he replied. “Don’t be silly Miles. They’re not dating. Are you?” Then another thought came to his head. “Wait, what? There’s a collection?!”
Meelo and Tamira were now walking in the hallway and he had heard that comment Tag and Miles had made. “Can you believe those guys?” he asked with annoyance.
“Forget them,” Tamira said. “Did your alarm go off to?”
“Yes,” the male stated. “Someone is trying to get to the black box.”
“And we know who that is. There’s only one other person who knows we have it.”
“Who, King?” Meelo replied. “It’s possible. But the coding algorithms behind these hacking attempts are… elegant. And he doesn’t really strike me as the computer-whiz type.”
The chameleon was right because at that moment the hippopotamus was having trouble with his computer. Torress had to come help him out. Then Axel and Krom came into the office and the rabbit left. “Just us?” the avian asked.
“Yes,” King replied. “Just us. It’s been awhile since we’ve been… given orders.” Those two words were growled out. “Has Pike talked to you lately?”
“No. And the last ‘talk’ we had didn’t go down so well.”
“Hmm. So either he’s out of plans… or he’s deliberately keeping us out of his plans.”
Axel let out a snort. “Not that his plans are any good,” the avian stated. “Take a look at what’s going on out there.”
“I warned him not to underestimate Tag and his friends,” King commented. “He didn’t listen.”
“Cut him some slack boss,” Krom said. “He’s doing the best he can.”
Both the hippopotamus and avian gave the crocodile a strange look as they both realized something. “What?” Krom asked.
“Krom…” King said. “It’s no secret Pike doesn’t get along with Axel or me. But you? He seems to favor you over us. Are those feelings for you… reciprocated?”
“Well… that depends.”
“On what?”
“On what reciprocated means.” Axel pinched the bridge of his beak with his fingers since it was such a wincing moment. King let out a frustrated sigh.
“What is Pike up to?” the male asked.
Meanwhile Nicholas had made it to Jessica’s room. “I got your message,” the husky said after entering. “What is it?”
Her room was like Meelo’s in terms of utilizing the space for technology and working on gadgets and things like that. It also had a different room where her main computer was and took the guy there. “It’s best here to talk,” she told the husky. “After all the danger so far during this tournament and who here is a danger we can’t know who’s listening.”
“I agree,” Nicholas said. “That’s why I had you install those things to help with security and making sure nobody can listen in for my room. Especially for Pike. So why call me here?”
“Because I’ve been notified that someone is trying to snoop or hack my private systems. I’ve set up my firewalls to notify me whenever someone is trying to snoop around my databases and my phone notifies me when it happens.”
“That is troubling. Any idea who it is?”
“No, but I have noticed they’ve also been doing the same thing for Meelo. I see traces left behind whenever I check on my system it’s the same for him.”
“Meelo?” Nicholas asked. “Why him?”
“I can’t say,” Jessica answered. “He either has something in his room or perhaps the enemy sees him as a threat. Just like with me.”
“Well keep an eye on the network,” the husky told her. “And him to just in case.”
“Yeah…” She frowned.
“What is it?”
“It’s just… ugh, I’ve heard Meika, Sonny, and Tag teasing him about Vyxx. It’s rubbing my scales the wrong way.”
“Yeah, I don’t think she even feels the same way he does,” Nicholas commented. “Besides, they’re not a good looking couple.”
“Then why?” Jessica asked, getting sad and angry. “Why hasn’t he figured out yet how I feel about him? We’ve hung out, talked; hell even I made him chuckle a few times!”
“I can’t say,” Nicholas told her. “Look sooner or later, he’ll lose interest in that hyena. Either that or maybe something else will happen. But it’s all about testing the waters until you find that one person you really want to be with. It’ll happen for you. I know it.”
Elsewhere Meika had made it to the lounge of the Ark. She was at the bar section and had a drink. Just then the one she feared and suspected who had sent her the message came. “Hey there beautiful,” Pike said in his most charming voice possible, coming up to her. “What’s a bad girl like you doing in a nice place like this?” He sat down next to her.
The bartender handed him a drink, not paying the two any attention. “Sparkling conversations over a few drinks… just like old time, isn’t it Meika?
She closed her eyes in anger, doing her best to not look at him. Those words brought up bad memories of being with the lupine. Also the mistake she had made of even agreeing to go out with the asshole when being a dumb, young teen was on her mind to. Looking closely at him now, she saw everything that was wrong with Pike. And even more how much better Nicholas was. The husky wasn’t like this wolf at all and thousands of times better. “Aw come on, what’s with the silent treatment?” he asked her after gulping down some of his drink.
Meika looked at him with cold anger, her arms crossed. Thinking about how much she hated Pike and her love for Nicholas was fueling her decision to not back down. She was stronger and wiser and knew better than to mix with this evil guy’s kind. His actions of trying to be charming may have fooled the vixen then but not now. “Back when we used to roll together, you couldn’t keep your mouth shut!”
“That was a long time ago, Pike,” she snapped back, drinking some of her drink. While it was true around Nicholas Meika talked a lot, it was for the right reason now. “What do you want? I’m sure you didn’t order me down here to play catch-up with you.”
“Straight to business then.” The lupine gave her a hard look. “I know your weakness Meika. So let me tell you this. If you want your family and friends to stay safe, may I suggest you keep an eye on them for me? Stay in line and do that and no harm will come to them. But if you don’t, they will pay the price. Especially that husky friend of yours and your parents.”
The vixen finished her drink and stood up with anger more than fear since the asshole was in front of her. “You forget who you’re talking to,” she told him coldly before starting to walk away.
“Atta girl,” he replied, smiling with triumph, thinking that he had won. But Meika as she walked away stopped and gave Pike a warning in cold anger.
“Don’t ever contact me again. I don’t know how you got my number but don’t ever again.” When she got out of that room and back into her quarters, Meika sank on the bed, the fear for Nicholas and her friends coming back. She didn’t know what to do. In front of Pike the vixen had what it took to stand up to him somewhat. But alone like this she felt vulnerable and threatened. The only thing she could do was check up on her parents on her phone after getting Meelo to go through it so Pike couldn’t contact her again.
Pike had also left the lounge and found Ashley. “Did it work?” the feline asked him. “Have you gotten Meika in line?”
“We’ll see,” her evil boyfriend answered. “Now then…” The guy held out his right paw. The feline took what was in it and placed it into her pocket. It was a small hexagon like disk. But it had Xeno’s symbol on it.
“Xeno’s attempts to infiltrate Meelo and Jessica’s systems haven’t produced any results, so it’s time to try something else. You at least have better access to his quarters. Attach the device anywhere within a few meters of his main systems. Once that’s done, we’ll take care of the rest.”
“I understand babe,” the feline purred. “Although…” Here Ashley ran a ringer down his chest. “Can you tell me what it does? It won’t be bad and blow our cover will it?”
“Oh, relax gorgeous,” Pike replied with a smirk. “It’s not going to blow up or anything if that’s what you’re worried about.”
“Consider it done,” Ashley stated and left for Meelo’s room.
In Pike’s room, Vyxx and Xeno were watching a commercial of Tag’s that was promoting a new version of Jump Jump Power Up Drink. When it was over, the hyena let out a laugh. “What?!” she exclaimed. “These commercials just keep getting more and more awesome!”
Xeno shook his head in response and Pike came in. “Ah!” Vyxx said. “So… how did it go?”
“She still hates me,” Pike replied, referring to Meika. “But more importantly, she’ll get the job done.” This time the guy meant Ashley. “We’ll finally be able to move things forward. That is, if your hunch is right.”
“I’ve been shadowing Tamira for weeks. She spends a lot of time in Meelo’s room. Our best bet is that the black box is somewhere in Meelo’s quarters.”
“We’ll know soon enough,” Pike said.
“And how can you be so sure Meika will spy for us?” went Razor who stepped out from the shadows. “You said it yourself, she hates you.”
“But she knows what I’m capable of. Relax.”
Outside Meika made it to Meelo’s room and let out a breath. She had been practicing in her head on how to ask him to help her without bringing up Pike. The female was just about to knock on the door when it opened and out stepped Tamira. Both of them were surprised for a second. “Oh… hi again,” Meika said. Tamira thought something was up and crossed her arms with a frown. “Okay. All jokes aside are you two…”
Tamira let out a sigh of annoyance. It had been like when Meika stated something similar last season with the pantheress and Axel. “Excuse me,” Tamira stated in a tone to match and walked away.
“Meika?” Meelo then asked. She saw him at his desk in front of her working on something with blueprints to the side. “What’re you doing here?”
She walked in and brought out her phone with the door closing behind her. “Listen… can you maybe do something for this?” the vixen asked. “I think someone might have hacked it. Can you make sure nobody can and so I can only get calls and messages from those I want?”
“Sure, no problem,” the chameleon replied and took it.
“Also… you know how to build something that can scramble a call?”
“Wait, why would you need that?” Meelo gave her a hard look.
“It’s just with the phone hacked someone might be able to track someone I don’t want them to,” the vixen said. “Please, just help me with this!”
The chameleon could tell she was troubled but didn’t pry. “Yes, I can help you Meika.” The guy got to work and was finished with those things.
“There you are,” he stated handing the two things over. “Now your phone is safe as can be. Also for that chip you just need to attach to the back and it’s good to go.”
Meika sighed with relief. “Thanks Meelo,” she replied. Now the vixen felt better and felt that at least she could check on her parents and make sure they were alright.
The female walked to the door which opened and to her surprise saw Ashley. “Oh!” the feline stated happily. “Hey Meika!” In her head, Ashley was wondering if the vixen was doing what Pike had told her to do by threatening her.
“Hey Ashley!” Meika replied. “Hey Meelo, there’s a third one!”
“Wait, Ashley?” he asked.
“I’ll leave you to it,” the vixen stated and left. The door closed behind Meika.
“Sonny thinks he might have left one of his video games somewhere behind in here,” Ashley told Meelo before he could ask her why she was here. She had played them with him before this moment during the times in between the races with Nicholas, Meika, and the others at points.
“I haven’t seen it,” he replied.
“He’s pretty sure he left it here. Could you take a look around?” Her hand went behind her back, bringing out a tiny chip from a hidden pocket.
Meelo raised a finger and opened his mouth as though to say something but then closed it and got up. As he did so, the feline looked up and saw the cameras here and memorized where they were. She then picked up the tablet that was on Meelo’s desk that belonged to him when the guy’s back was turned. One of the cameras zoomed in on her face but it didn’t catch her placing the small chip on the back of the device. It flashed with her orange color. The feline looked and saw the door to where the black box was after setting the tablet down. “Need some help?” Ashley asked. “How about in there?” She began to walk towards to it and Meelo looked up in alarm. “I could-“
Before she reached for the pad that acted as the way to get in, the chameleon rushed over and in front of it. “Don’t touch that!” he exclaimed. “I just upgraded that to a 20 digit passcode that I change every week. And a wrong entry could put this whole room into lockdown. Too… Paranoid?” He said those last two words in a halfhearted way, remembering what Meika had said.
“You think?” the feline replied. The two let out a laugh. The chameleon then turned around and used his finger on the pad like a touch screen. The feline watched this, memorizing the pattern. The door opened and he went in.
“Wait out here,” Meelo told Ashley. “I’ll take a look.”
“No problem,” she replied. The feline quickly got the chip off the tablet.
“Nope!” the chameleon stated coming back out. He didn’t see what Ashley had done. “No games here, there, or anywhere.”
“I’m beginning to think you’re right. And what is that guy doing playing so many video games, anyway?”
“Right, right,” the male replied with a chuckle. “Anyway, good luck with that. I’ve got things to tend to.”
“I understand. Thanks anyway, Meelo. I’ll let Sonny know it’s not here. Later!”
She left the room and when the doors were closed, Ashley looked down at the chip with an evil grin. She would make her move after the next race. Meanwhile in Meika’s room, she looked down at the chip Meelo had given her with a worried look. “Here it goes,” she whispered and put it on the back of her phone. She saw on the screen a message pop up showing all calls were being scrambled. The vixen dialed her dad’s number. Meika heard it ring a few times and then heard his voice. “Hello?” the vulpine asked on the other end of the line.
“Daddy, it’s me,” she whispered.
“Hey there baby girl. You okay?”
“I…” Before the female could stop herself, she went on to explain how Pike was here, her fears of what he might do to Nicholas and her friends, how he had threatened her, the question of why he was here, and how he had found her despite the efforts to keep him away.
“And now daddy I think you and mom might be in danger to…”
There was no answer for a few seconds. Then another voice was heard. “Meika, it’s me,” went another female voice.
“Mom?” her daughter asked, hardly believing it.
“Honey, I know you’re scared but me and your father are safe as we can be. We can’t explain how or where we are. But I can assure you we’re in no danger. Pike won’t get to us.”
Meika just let out a shaky laugh of relief. “Just knowing you two are safe is all I need… I love you guys; you’re the only family I have…”
“We know baby girl,” her daddy replied. “We were shocked to when seeing him on the screen for the first time. Obviously the restriction doesn’t apply to that tournament. That had no power there. But we’ve seen you with your friends and especially Nicholas. I’m confident he and they will keep you safe for us. So stay strong Meika. Just do what you can to stay safe.”
“Thank you daddy… I will…”
Her father let out a sigh. “Still… that son of a bitch Pike has another thing coming if he thinks he can use you. I’m just glad you two broke up when you did before you really got hurt Meika. I’m happy you saw what I did with what he really was before it was too late. I’m not going to blame you though for the decision. I feel it was my fault for sheltering you and that’s why you rebelled a little by being with… him.” That last word was growled out in anger.
“No daddy, it’s my fault,” Meika stated. “I was a dumb young teen and I didn’t see at the time what you were really trying to do. I’m just glad to I broke it off with Pike before things went bad and did something I would regret. I’ve said it before but I’m sorry for that…”
“I know baby girl,” her father said. “And know no matter what happens now I will always love you.”
“I love you to daddy…”
“And that goes for me honey,” went her mother on the other end of the line. “Just try calling us again if you can.”
“I will and I love you to mom. Bye.” Meika hung up, feeling much better now that Pike’s threat had no hold over her. Now that was one less problem to worry about. All that was left was dealing with telling Nicholas the relationship she once had with the asshole. But that would be thrown out of her mind for now because the next race was where it would happen with finding out who Ashely really was working with.
X
So not only does Jessica knows what going on, now you can see the reason why the female chameleon is in this. To give Meelo a partner in crime and love. Also it’s canon Meika hates Pike and never wants to be with that asshole ever again. That’s why she’s going to be with me only. But even so this chapter had it’s hard moments to write down since I’ll never forgive the studio for doing what they did to my Meika. Also seeing Pike talk that way to my Meika in the episode, god I want to slug him in the face and wipe that smirk off his face. Especially after that horrid abomination of images of my Meika with that asshole. Luckily I have written this story in such a way it works with the episode easily. And the best part I'll never have to watch the parts I hate again.
