long long ago I got a spot with Oakpaw for Roten to be drawn into one of these posters. Lots of other people got their characters on this same templet, but I amazingly can't seem to find any others on FA.
Anyways, so I DID NOT DRAW THIS... OAKPAW DID. Though I DID alter it slightly to fix up the markings here and there. The pencil-->ink-->color thing is entirely on purpose and if I recall right it's to represent how we form these characters and make them real.

This is so, so true, and really deserves to be on this site no matter who drew it. Very true words indeed. I personally really appreciate the nod to us writers. Fetishes have their place (I'll admitt, I have a few), but there is a much deeper root to the whole thing in the community. I could expound philosophy on it, as I've actually spent a fair amount of time thinking on it, but I think in our hearts we all understand it anyhow. Besides, a comment is hardly a place to expound philosophy. Maybe that'll be my next journal.
