TOTALLY WANT TO TRADDDDEEEE AHHHH! <3
Btw, lemme throw this idea past you...
So, I've found that I want to only take on 2-5 commissions at a time. Problem is, first come first serve is kinda unfair, and some commissions I find very little pleasure in doing. Do you think there's a way for me to pick and choose which commissions I take on, or is that just rude? :\

Hmm...that's tough! I know some other artists do "pick and choose what ones i feel comfortable doing". It depends on the artists preferences. If you really don't feel like doing a picture, it's not going to come out at your best quality. But if you're being paid to do it, well if the character has too much detail/craziness or they want something detailed like a gun or something, you can charge more because that's extra effort you're putting into the piece. I personally don't like refusing a commission, because as you say, it feels rude. But then I also like a challenge. But I think if you did want to refuse someone a commission, I guess just politely explain that what they're asking is a bit too much for you and if you tried it, it would take a considerable amount of time to do and it would not come out at your best quality. And then perhaps suggest another idea for the commission that you'd be comfortable with. That's what i'd do if that issue came up. But yeah, definately don't overload yourself with commissions. You can't force art all the time. It makes you not want to do it D= And then you don't put your best efforts in.
