It was just another morning in the pridelands but this time around there was a bounce to Red's step as he went on his patrol. The weather was just perfect with a light breeze and he felt like nothing could stop this feeling. The big grassy slopes of the savanna was too much of a temptation as he started to sprint forward and saw an obstacle in shape of a log that he wanted to challenge. As he approached with speed he could see someone peeking out from behind it with a slightly shy but interested look.
"Heads down! Coming through!" He yelled as he quickly approached the log. The lioness behind it slid down behind the trunk and with a spring to his hinds he flew by, but not quick enough to see her meet him with her eyes with excitement. He only had time for a quick "Miss." before he continued sprinting forward to what lay ahead.
