Scene from my Watership Down Roleplay:
Elil - a Watership Down roleplay.
[ … ]
Nobody seemed to have noticed the adventurous rabbit yet, but Nightrun couldn’t pretend that he didn’t. With a sigh, he got back up on his feet and shook the snow out of his dark fur. The black one turned around, taking a closer look to the youngster. It was a buck, younger then him, and without a doubt none of their fellow Owsla warriors. He was by far too slim and had not the muscles their soldiers grew when they were in training. So he was just a regular rabbit from their warren.
Nightrun, being pretty sure that there was no silflay time at the moment, hopped down from the branch towards the outsider, who seemed to notice that he made a mistake.
The Owsla wasn’t one of those brutes who loved bullying, but he still went after his job – even if he did chose softer words. As he approached him, he got a better look at the young buck. A warm, dusty-gray coat and blue eyes that were similar to his own, along with a mark on his left shoulder. Nightruns ears perked up as he recognized the lad. Flixweed, one of those poor fellows who got into the claws of the wrong rabbits too often, and also one of his own mark area.
“Silflay time is long over, Flixweed, you should be aware of that. You’re not supposed to be out here.”
There was a sharp undertone in Nightruns voice that made him sound suspicious. Yet all he did was facing Flixweed with a neutral gaze, not the superior glare that other Owsla in Efrafa used far too much.

A fanart from a scene between my character Nightrun, the black Owsla Captain, and the younger buck, Flixweed, who belongs to *paperzopilote on dA. I have to mention that I love Flixweed ♥
This was not only a lot of fun, but also gambling around with my style. I'm always stuck between wanting to get realistic or staying semi-realistic. This time, I went into a semi-realistic direction. It gave me sometimes a headache and doubts, but now I quite like it.
It was also one of the rare occassions were I tried to create a background haha. All I can say is that I fail on backgrounds ^^

Absolutely stunning picture. Rich, beautiful and the rabbits look amazing. Pure Watership Down. I love it!

I do like this, very much. The character design is reminiscent of the way it's done in the TV series, and the rabbits' expressions are beautiful.
