I've been wanting to make some art "based" off of some of my adventures playing online games, mainly Arma and EVE Online, when I was 13 - 16. I remember playing DayZ

(not the stand alone the mod aka THE ONLY GOOD VERSION (imo cause I'm a bitter vet :P )) (fun fact I was briefly in a milsim group in which Dean Hall was also in and he "stole" (likely with permission or might have been his) one of our heli models (http://www.armaholic.com/datas/users/rocket_ch53_4.jpg) I think it was this one the pavelow, but this is getting sidetracked)

with this group of players and as we were walking (https://dayz.xam.nu/#11537.81;7828.59;6 this is where I pretty sure we were), I was amazed at the ambiance Arma provided. Open world games were pretty new to me. I had mostly been playing Minecraft GMod and TF2, and while Minecraft is open world, I had never played a game with such a big, hand crafted world to explore. I want to make some pieces based loosely of my time playing Arma to kind of revisit the nostolgia.

More about the piece, I'm not really done with it, I could probably take it further (much more so with more talent :P), but this is as far as I want to take it for now as there are other things I want to draw, specifically character refs for the people that I played with. In this picture I drew me as the wolf in the back distracted by the aforementioned, Cuddles as the horse, since when I first met him, his profile picture was some mlp rainbowdash meme with giant tits, [-Fracture-] as the Hyena, since I kind of remember him as a jokester, and Scolar as the Lion, since he, along with Cuddles, kind of lead the group. There are 3 other members of this group that I want to draw, and some other side friends and friends that I meet at other times. But yeah it was fun to draw and to start remembering this time of my life.
