I imagine that Rafal would have quite a thick hide and beneath that there's a good amount of muscle as well as him being a large guy so if it was one or two lasers maybe he would have been able to shrug it off. At least he'll probably weather the effects better than most and just be a little sore when he wakes up after a few minutes.
If he does get tied up though then it would all come down to what his captors might have in store for him like subjecting him to tickle torture or a seemingly endless villainous monologue.
