1966, Shiro Yamamoto stepped onto the world scene as the size-changing, evergy-blasting superhero Ultimatrix. And alien AI imbeded itself into his mind and allowed him to transform into the silver and orange hero at will. However, life with the AI is a constant struggle for Shiro. It's alien morals, lack of understanding of human society and cold machine logic is as much a challenge for the young hero as are the the Kaiju he faces. These include the dreaded Hisanshō̄o (a giant monster of distruction whose name is a fusion of the japanese words for Fire and Salamander, roughly meaning Salamander of Fire; better know to the western world as the Leviathan), Hornetah (the ancient insectoid War Goddess who) and Etānaru (a gigantic axolotl mutant from space with unrivaled regeneration ability and who's name means Eternal; he seems to be a direct rival to the Salamander; he's also known as Axel in the western world)
