Thank you again aaaaa-
Time for some of my D&D campaign lore LETS GO
Within the realm of Krinstalla, all races can summon from their bodies a soul flame. These are visual manifestations of their souls; no two are the same. Most species carry similar characteristics, however; no drow flame gives off any light, yet feels almost silky to the touch – where as an elven flame flares brightly, with an almost thorny texture if poked. These flames cannot be dosed or removed from their owner’s personal space without very specific circumstances being met. If such a thing occurs, the owner dies.
Bell is unique in this. He was already dead when he entered Krinstalla, buried deep in his family tomb. His soul flame originally belonged to seven other beings, each one representing a separate sin. They swirl together into an oily, shimmering rainbow of a flame – becoming his own unique form.
Pyre’s flame follows most Realm Walker traits; its far larger than most, with small star like sparkles shimmering along its length. All Realm Walkers can use their own flames to bind another soul to their life force, protecting them for a variable amount of time so that they can travel the Gates without harm. In Pyre’s case, her flame can swell to envelope a decently sized group, though it clearly puts some stress on her body to do so.
She can also do some...interesting things, with her flame. It is her soul flame that flares up and sets her alight during DT mode, for example, which is connected to why she cannot regenerate health in that mode. Most of her kind are unnerved by this, and blame it on her being Muse-Touched.
Which is pretty spot on, as much as she hates hearing it.
A big thank you again to Coolidge!
