I just tried to flesh out the character a bit more. While she is an adventurer who gets mutated by artifacts and such frequently, I haven't seen her do too many adventure-y type things, and she tends to be drawn under dressed and under equipped. The exception I remember seen is the cave explorer sequence black-rat drew. I was going to lean towards a cat bugler type out fit at first, but that was too different from the way I normally see her drawn. Figured a P.T uniform sorta like the one army guys wear, some black face paint, and the the thermal goggles would be a nice way to make her seem a bit more serious about getting what she came there for.
*laughs* Blackrat couldn't draw a lithe character with lean musculature if his life depended on it, which is why I wager he never completed the commission I payed him on: A wereswan TF: not exactly something that's easy to make look good when filled with chunky muscle, em? Twas part of my mentorship practices as well: I try something unusual, so does he, sort of added incentive since the master struggles along with the student... meh, stuff happens. *shrugs*
Still, it works for this character, so I suppose B-rat (Brat?... huh. lol.) is a solid choice for her.
But yeah, I admit that for a "seasoned adventurer", I always found this character underwhelming, both in appearance and in equipment: tough or tricky (or magical), take your pick, but there are tools for each: She was usually rather threadbare... looked more like a weekend warrior just a few blocks from her home. The transformations were fun enough, and made her appear much more capable, and the change from scrawny to heavily muscled is more of a dramatic change from athletic to heavily muscled, but I think you had the right idea.
