Across all continents and throughout the various realms within them, there has proven to be one creature perhaps more persistent and more ubiquitous than any other: The Slime. Most common varieties of Slime are quite harmless, though many tend towards disturbingly parasitic behavior, especially when threatened. Some naturalists believe this to be a simple survival instinct: What better way to survive predation than to adapt to the digestive system of your predators? There are others though, those who subscribe to the theories that contend these creatures originate from another plane entirely, who believe that this behavior could be indicative of something more sinister, perhaps even a malign intelligence to such actions.
Of all the varieties, it is well-known that Black Slime is one of the more hazardous. Even in its inert, "dead" state, the remains of these oozes can be quite dangerous, the addictive properties of the muck that comprises their bodies still remaining incredibly potent. Many poor souls have found themselves hooked on the substance, in fact, drawn to its unparalleled sweetness, despite the dangerous amount of calories contained even within a single ounce. The remains of the black slime are already rare enough thanks to the creature's near-mythical status, and most realms have laws forbidding the possession and sale of such a dangerous substance, yet there still exists a thriving black market trade for it, were one mad enough to seek it out.
So I've decided to participate in an Inktober style challenge on Twitter, and this is my first submission in regards to that. Unfortunately I very much doubt I'll get many of these done, but it's still fun to try! This picture was for the first theme, "Overstuffed".

This probably will bother some people, but I always figure that whenever a character gets to very extreme sizes in my setting, it can be a bit dangerous to their health, unless the specific substance or means of weight gain negates those dangers, or if somebody uses some kind of spell to keep them healthy at such a huge size.
Other than that, the substance itself doesn't have anything particularly harmful to the body besides the large amount of sucrose and calories packed into it. When it comes to the mind however, it is powerfully addictive and can lead to somebody becoming hooked the more they eat. If there were some kind of spell in place though, the person consuming it could probably grow quite large without much problem beyond mobility. P:

so, if left untreated - there's risk to health, due to excess of sucrose and calories.
Well, It can be always imagined, whether the captor who spilled that substance, has means to negate effects of excess of sucrose and calories, creating a big blob who'll last for as long as possible.
Or not. But that's up to writer's/reader's preference on what route the fate of the fatty should go.
And mobility issue ain't such problem, if all is prepared for such state of being.

I'd say many of them don't wish to be fat going into it exactly, just that if they're willingly consuming the stuff without already being hooked, they may simply be curious as to its taste without heeding any of the warnings about how dangerous the black slime is.
That said, it's a big setting so it's possible there may be some people that are into feederism and see it as a one-way ticket to massive obesity. There might also just be some nobles and royalty that are so hedonistic that they think it might be a pleasurable thing to indulge themselves in, and many of them probably have access to those aforementioned spells or there's some kind of potion or something to keep them living longer so they could grow to extremely huge sizes.
Also thank you! It was really fun to work on ink stuff, even if it is digital, so glad that you enjoy them!
