The final piece of my Mothers and Sons set, featuring a smol Modo and his grey-furred mama. I tried to keep her design as true to the show as possible - albeit, much younger - but since images of her are hard to find, the accuracy percentage is likely very low.

And now, for a headcanon.

In the show, Modo's mama - who I am hereby naming Eliarta - quotes wisdom from her white-furred father. As it's been established in my universe that white coats are rare, I decided that he was a mouse from Mars' polar regions, where the different biome necessitated an evolutionary removal of dark or vibrant fur colors. Where cave mice tend to have coats in shades of red, brown, and warm greys, polar mice are more likely to have white or cool grey fur. Polar mice also have longer, thicker fur and sport tufted tails.

Eliarta is actually half cave mouse and half polar mouse, making Modo a further diluted hybrid, which is how I am explaining the overall shaggier appearance of his fur throughout the series.

I also subscribe to the theory that Modo's eye is prosthetic like Throttle's are (though a far less flawed version), which is why I gave babeh Modo blue eyes.
