My part of an art trade with
tensaug7 featuring my old OC the green Dino and his stoneage human boy side kick in a perilious situation. Some maybe remember the old pic with the human boy and the green dino trying to infiltrate the salamander tribe´s place. This obviously went wrong somehow and now they face an unpleasing destiney ... if not the human intelligence will save the day at the end.

Oh, yeah! I totally remember that green dino warrior you did once x3! I confess I missed him a lot and indeed I was thinking that drawing totally deserved a sequel x3!
I really liked this picture x3! The dino warrior is so big and handsome :3! It's nice to see him all bound like that (shame he is not gagged XD)! And I love a little of bondage peril on it x3! It really makes us think HOW they gonna escape from this x3!! And man, there is so much details, I LOVED this picture >w<! The salamandra tribe on the background x3! They look so cute XD! Simply amazing work, man x3!!

This sorta looks like a perilous scene from a vintage cartoon. The whole juxtaposition of dinosaurs and humans, being characteristic of old cartoons like Flintstones or Captain Caveman or other Saturday morning cartoons. I like this! How will they escape certain death? Tune in next time for the exciting adventures of Dino-Dad and Cave-Boy!
Oh my this is super cool! I didn't think you were gonna add in so many characters but you managed to fit in a bunch and still did a really good background! man This is insanely good my man!
Thanks once again for doing an Art Trade with me, and I'm honored to have done something for someone as talented as yourself

Great to see this dino fella in peril again! =D Love the way he's been tied up, with the messy and haphazard arrangement of the ropes, the convoluted knot up top, and the visibly rough quality of the ropes with little strands sticking up here and there. They give the bondage a fun bit of visual storytelling that speaks to the nature in which he was tied up and the character of whoever was doing the tying up. Someone clearly wanted to make really sure the green dino wouldn't be getting loose anytime soon. I wouldn't mind seeing a "Game Over" scene (or "You Win" from the perspective of the salamanders.) following this, with the human boy having managed to escape but failed to rescue the green dino in time, ensnared by the tentacles and about to become lunch. (I miiight be a bit biased here by all the Conan the Barbarian comic covers featuring our hero caught in the grasp of some tentacled beast. Tentacles and barbarians just go together like peanut butter and jelly! =P)
thanks much for the nice comment.
I admit I haven´t rade many Conan the Barbarian comics. The covers really feature that much scenarios with Conan being in peril with some tentacle monster? That must be some interesting insight into the minds of the original author or the comic artists responsible^^

Heheh, I know the Hellboy comics have some covers like this too. Usually they made the situation look much more grave on the covers, while in the actual stories the beasts would usually conveniently leave an arm free to grab a sword and allow the hero to escape their predicament. It's a bit fun to imagine if the creatures were a bit smarter about it and had a better hold of their prey, but in the end I'm happy to see the hero escape and go on to get themself in even more predicaments. Game Overs let me have my cake and eat it too, leaving characters in hopeless situations but knowing they'll be okay when they reset to the last save point. =P
I wonder if this is like that TaleSpin episode in which Baloo and Kit kidnap two tribe gators and switch places with them in poorly-made disguises to hide the fact that they're different animals at all, in order to save Rebecca and their Mushroom-Scouting Pig ... also like in Disney's Robin Hood where Robin kidnapped a vulture and disguised himself as it in order to sneak in and still Prince John's stolen money? If that's the case then there are two tribe salamanders that are bound and gagged somewhere. With all that cheering at the execution (or carnivorous plant tongue lashing these two are gonna receive on the soles of their feet as a means of interrogation/entertainment) no one's gonna here them 'MMPH' for help for a long while. XD
As XiphactinusRex mentioned the creature in the pit does rather remind of a Sarlacc, so this might similarly be an ancient creature with perhaps an alien intelligence and maybe though hungry is not averse to playing with it's prey and enjoys the fear and humiliation of it's victims before finally consuming them.
The green Dino himself would be a formidable predator and musclebound and tough as he is, as well as probably quite proud and brave would likely be considered far more appetising prey than the little human. The creature might recognise this as well as understanding that the salamander tribe do like to have a good show and hopes to entertain them as thanks for providing such a succulent meal. The tail and feet swinging back and forth as well might well entice the creature's predatory instincts.
Once the pair are lowered a little further the unfortunate Dino finds that his tail is caught firmly by a tentacle and the tongues and other tentacles are licking and it seems actually tickling his feet and sadly for him he does happen to be a little ticklish and unable to stop himself from bursting into laughter. With the salamander tribe finding themselves quite amused, the creature does continue the torment long enough for the human boy to work out a way to escape with the creature proving susceptible to being rubbed under the mouths which relaxes it so much that it's feeling quite sleepy.
Fortunately for the heroes, the salamander tribe were so amused by it all that the death sentence of being fed to the creature in the pit is waived, mercy granted this time and they can be on their way just so long as they never come back.
