In my SMITE stories, Anubis has under his command the Jackal Guards, a personal army of undead warriors recruited from volunteering souls of the dead. They are the cream of the crop in Ptolemaic Egyptian army and the first to fight, last to leave. During the Jackal Guards early years, they operate with Phalangites and Hetairoi Hippeis like all post Alexander Diadochi armies, but in modern times, they traded in their hoplites and horses for anthro robot wolves and that leads to some reorganizing under Anubis command. Legio XXI Ferra Lupina is the tip of the spear, an expeditionary brigade designed to have its infantry robot wolves cooperate closely with their armored and mechanized elements as well as support assets ranging from remote controlled drones, artillery to air support. They are highly modular and mobile, able to deploy versatile troops against any foes of Egypt and defend all under Heaven.
