Here's a story that's been sitting in my folders for a while and I figured if I'm going to be opening for story commissions then I might as well have some examples of my writing style.

This is the beginning of a reverse isekai where the person from the magic world ends up in a non magical modern setting.

Prologue
The sound of wind howls in my ears, trees rushing past as I flee through the jungle. I carried a precious burden, one that my pursuers would do anything and everything to destroy. I clutched the bundle tightly, praying to the gods for aid in my flight. The grim echo of a horn gave me a burst of fearful energy. They had found my trail and had sounded that infernal horn. Soon I could hear the keening howl of the Hounds; their howls barely resembling any sort of mortal creature. Before long I saw them catching up to me, trying to cut me off. No matter how fast I might have been able run, I could never outrun those beasts, their bestial forms cloaked in writhing shadow. I knew they would either try to surround or corner me, so I chose to bank on one last way to protect my cargo. Better to be lost to the sea than to be destroyed by ‘them’, monsters that devoured more than just your flesh. I started veering away from a nearby cliff, hoping the hounds would be stupid enough to drive me there. The gods must have favored me in that moment. The hounds started driving me to the cliff, letting them believe that they had worn me down with the chase. I was soon surrounded by hounds, my back to the sea cliff as I clutched my cargo. Giving one last prayer, I stepped off the cliff and plunged into the roiling sea below. The currents caught hold and dragged me down, carrying me away from the shore. The last thought I had was that ‘it’ was safe from their grasp...
