Subject 001
Name: Sirius
Age: Unknown
Sex: Male
Race: Regulan
The Regulan race is an enigma. While their presence in the universe is very apparent, we knew very little next to nothing about their species aside from their technology and intelligence far surpasses that of most, if not all sentient life in the known universe. From what is known, they come from a region far beyond the known cosmos in deep uncharted space. And yet many planets within the star systems have traces of their occupancy. Temples, shrines, abandoned technology, derelicts, ancient text all found around the universe. They are fair in appearance with an almost alluring form however, a Regulan often takes the form of what they are associated with most. They were long though to be a dead race. That is until the derelict was discovered. It was not till Star-date 2195 AE that their existence was proven to be fact when a Regulan derelict ship was discovered via deep range transmission surveillance. Not in centuries did I think I would have such a remarkable opportunity to study a rare once in a lifetime artifact. However, it was far more amazing to discover what laid within. Out of the 75 stasis pods aboard the derelict, only 14 were fully operational. Out of the 14, as little as 5 had survivors within them while the others were empty. As far as we are aware of, studies indicate that there were escape pods that were ejected during an incident, and that something was being transported. Whatever it was the Regulans were transporting is still unknown as no evidence was discovered and any chances of deciphering the data always leads to inconclusive results. The survivors are the most extreme case of amnesia I have ever seen. Most have no recollection of a name, age, or purpose, let alone of the events that transpired aboard the derelict. Those who do have some memory find that it is often extremely fragmented. Any attempt at gathering information results in a complete mental lock down. One Regulan however was an endless wealth of knowledge.
Subject 001 otherwise known as Sirius was accompanied by another sentient creature within its Stasis Pod. For some personal reason, Subject 001 takes the form of a male human in their early 20's. Likewise he has an attitude and personality to match. Sirius as he prefers to be called, is one of the only Regulans recovered from the derelict that seems to retain memories of what transpired however, they are heavily fragmented based on the knowledge he provided. The vessel was a genetic research lab that specialized in genetic engineering. This was confirmed with samples of DNA that with further analysis concluded the positive confirmation of just about every known species in the universe, along with some not yet discovered. Sirius' task was that of high level security detail. They were transporting a new species of a genetically engineered lifeforms not of Regulan design. An accident occurred that resulted in the breach of the hull. Subject 001 along with his colleagues stayed behind in an attempt to secure, contain, and or destroy said creatures if they could not be recovered as most were docile with the exception of three that were considered to be extremely dangerous. However disaster struck and as a result they were forced to take shelter in the pods and wait for a rescue that never came. Which begs the question of Subject 002 and whether or not they may possibly be a result of genetic engineering. However that is a different matter entirely.
Ever since then Subject 001, Alias Sirius and Subject 002, Alias Ackerson; have been most valuable assets to the team aboard the Falandor as they are among the very few who are capable of accessing Regulan tech without fail. Lately however, Subject 001 has been exhibiting signs of deterioration. Further observations needed. Furthermore, it is apparent that certain triggers trip the memories of Sirius. In the event it occurs, I take precautions to procure as much information about his species as I possibly can. At the moment, Subject 001 and Subject 002 actively work alongside the crew of the Falandor and I couldn't possibly be more satisfied that I am allowed to research a most intriguing group of individuals of such varying backgrounds and cultures. In the meantime I shall continue my research in finding a cure for his illness.
