So back to me and Meika first. This time it's at those ruins. But unlike in the show, there are no bad feelings for Meika just as it should be. I do like how this shot with her car came out. It's actually taken from a shot from the episode. And while this canon chapter may be short, at least the next one things will get even more interesting.

Racing World
A Maze Race
At last the Ark had reached the location for the week’s race despite taking the scenic route and stop to Aispir along the way. The racers had arrived at the Mezatali Ruins. As usual Becks, Beaks, and Blitz along with Ms. Dira and Alfred were explaining this place to the viewers. The Mezatali according to the doe and buck were one of the earliest civilizations known to regularly host racing events among their people. The jungle the Ark was at now, contained the only traces left of their proud empire. The dedicated engineers of the racing tournament had repurposed and reconstructed the ancient grounds into an amazing venue for a thrilling race. The a structure appeared on the T.V. screen and Dira explained that it was one of two identical structures. They made up the starting and finishing line for this week’s race. The actual racetrack was an underground passage connecting the two. After the explanting, the screen showed the racers at the starting line. “Let’s see how our racers are faring at the starting line!” Becks stated.
“Well, well,” Meelo said. “Look who’s confident. And I thought Razor had learned his lesson from the last one.” He had seen the smug look the feline had and decided that the evil racer wasn’t going to win. Especially since Meelo knew who Razor really worked for.
Meika in the meantime glance back, a bit troubled when seeing Pike’s car behind her. She felt this even more ever since that meeting with Zero and Riq and after he had come into Nicholas’s garage uninvited. Sooner or later she was going to tell the husky the whole reason why that was. “Watch your tails on this guys,” Tag said to those on the side of good since his car’s communication system was linked to theirs. It was the same for those from Aispir. “Anything could happen.”
The lights turned green and they were off with Krom still fresh from his last win. It wasn’t known if he would be able to pull two in a row despite being ahead. Meika was hot on his tail. She smiled and shifting the gear shift in her car, pulled ahead with Nicholas, Razor, Meelo, and Jessica right behind her. Sonny, Mia, and Tag were bringing up the rear. The crocodile wasn’t happy about that. “I guess it’s not to be!” Becks announced. “After the last race, nobody’s in the mood for being left behind!”
The cars came out into a huge room and Tag got distracted. So much so that Pike was able to pull ahead. Miles called him out on that and the tiger gritted his teeth and stepped on the gas, shooting forward. Meanwhile Meelo had caught up to Razor and ran his car into the feline’s who grunted. The chameleon did it again and the feline snarled before pulling out of the way. “What is he thinking?!” Jessica asked, seeing this.
“Screw off!” Razor stated to the Meelo.
“Oh bite me!” he shot back.
The cars then went out of the hallway and to the main area. The way forward was a huge circle like area. Some wondered if there was an exit and it was confirmed there was. Tag thought this was a bit too easy and told Miles his thoughts. The owl agreed and told the tiger to stay alert. It was a good thing as just then wheels below the huge circle area began to turn and walls came up. “Too easy huh?” Mile told Tag.
“Me and my big mouth,” the tiger groaned.
At this place which was the temple core, Becks and Blitz were telling the viewers watching the racers were going to have to make their way through the a-maze-ing labyrinth, looking for the exit that would lead to the finish line. Everyone split up at the entrance and it was here that Pike used his car’s power. Nicholas heard that announcement thanks to those commentating on the race. “Mother fucker…!” he growled. The guy took a deep breath. “No… calm down. Losing my head now is a bad idea. I’ll find the exit on my own if I have to!”
Xeno then used his car’s power to get onto the walls of the maze. “Hey!” Tag exclaimed, seeing this. “Not fair!”
“Bad guys never play fair,” Daniel grumbled also seeing this.
But then things got tougher as the racers found out that the labyrinth changed constantly as the walls began to move. “This is nuts!” the tiger stated. “How’re we gonna find our way through this thing?!”
Axel who was behind Tag managed to get past the tiger. Meanwhile Tamira had activated her car’s power. But then she came side by side with Vyxx. After the two females duked it out with their cars grinding against the other, the pantheress managed to shake the hyena off. A wall then started to appear in front of Vyxx who got through it by activating her car’s power. She came bursting out of the wall next to Tamira with a triumphant laugh. “You can’t get rid of me that easily, Tammy!” she stated.
Some of the other racers from Aispir city got wind of this and began to use their car’s powers to burst through walls like that. Jacob and Victor were one such example where the Rook went first and weakened a stone wall that the other avian took care of with his car’s ability. Meanwhile Razor was behind Meelo and he saw the feline coming up from behind. “Oh no you don’t,” the chameleon declared.
He moved his car, blocking Razor’s attempts to get around. The feline did manage to after a bit and then got rammed by Meelo’s car. “Quit it!” he shouted.
“Not so nice when you know who the enemy is, isn’t it?” the chameleon stated.
The reptile slammed his car into the other one again. “I said… QUIT IT!”
The feline shook Meelo off. Becks and Blitz let out a laugh. “And that’s why you don’t get in a ring with a feline that can scratch!” the flying fox exclaimed.
The move caused Meelo to veer off to a side path and saw it was a drop ahead. He used his car’s power to save himself and breathed a sigh of relief. “That was too close!” he said.
“Are you okay?!” Jessica asked him who had seen the whole thing through the car’s communication system.
“Yeah, I’m fine,” he replied back to her.
Meanwhile Meika and Nicholas were side by side with Sonny and Mia. The four looked at the other and then saw up ahead was a wall. The vixen let out a small gasp of surprise. “Shit…” the panda stated.
Sonny went ahead and used his car’s ability to break through it. The other three smiled at him and then split from each other. It was all down to this as the racers were getting nearer to the finish line. But even with the speed of Nicholas and using his car’s power, Pike was out first. Tamira pulled in second with Vyxx coming in third. The husky wasn’t happy about this at all. Even the news that Krom had been left behind couldn’t make the male laugh. But not all was bad. “Hey that was pretty amazing of you out there,” Jessica told Meelo later on after they were back on the Ark.
He chuckled. “Is it hard being that good?” he replied. “Not at all.”
“Well all the same even though we didn’t win, should we do something to celebrate you didn’t die? Maybe work on something together?”
“You know what; why not?” The two did just that since the Ark would now be traveling back to Aispir City again or rather a place in the surrounding area for the next race. It was during this the two chameleons got even closer. And here Meelo realized something. Jessica was actually much better for him than Vyxx ever could be. The guy no longer had a crush on the hyena, especially with learning she was working for the enemy. But Jessica here not only could keep up with him intelligence wise, they actually had more in common than he realized. The female even tried her attempts on the black box but even though they both suspected it wouldn’t work, they had to try. And because of all this Meelo found out it was her all along that he liked in reality. Not as a friend but in a romantic sense. For now, there wasn’t time to act on these feelings. But Meelo knew this; he’d found the perfect girl for him.

A Maze Race
At last the Ark had reached the location for the week’s race despite taking the scenic route and stop to Aispir along the way. The racers had arrived at the Mezatali Ruins. As usual Becks, Beaks, and Blitz along with Ms. Dira and Alfred were explaining this place to the viewers. The Mezatali according to the doe and buck were one of the earliest civilizations known to regularly host racing events among their people. The actual racetrack was an underground passage connecting the two. After the explanting, the screen showed the racers at the starting line. “Let’s see how our racers are faring at the starting line!” Becks stated.
“Well, well,” Meelo said. “Look who’s confident. And I thought Razor had learned his lesson from the last one.” He had seen the smug look the feline had and decided that the evil racer wasn’t going to win. Especially since Meelo knew who Razor really worked for.

The cars then went out of the hallway and to the main area. The way forward was a huge circle like area. Some wondered if there was an exit and it was confirmed there was. After the two females duked it out with their cars grinding against the other, the pantheress managed to shake the hyena off. A wall then started to appear in front of Vyxx who got through it by activating her car’s power. She came bursting out of the wall next to Tamira with a triumphant laugh. “You can’t get rid of me that easily, Tammy!” she stated.
Some of the other racers from Aispir city got wind of this and began to use their car’s powers to burst through walls like that. Jacob and Victor were one such example where the Rook went first and weakened a stone wall that the other avian took care of with his car’s ability. Meanwhile Razor was behind Meelo and he saw the feline coming up from behind. “Oh no you don’t,” the chameleon declared.
He moved his car, blocking Razor’s attempts to get around. The feline did manage to after a bit and then got rammed by Meelo’s car. “Quit it!” he shouted.
“Not so nice when you know who the enemy is, isn’t it?” the chameleon stated.

The feline shook Meelo off. Becks and Blitz let out a laugh. “And that’s why you don’t get in a ring with a feline that can scratch!” the flying fox exclaimed.

But not all was bad. “Hey that was pretty amazing of you out there,” Jessica told Meelo later on after they were back on the Ark.
He chuckled. “Is it hard being that good?” he replied. “Not at all.”
“Well all the same even though we didn’t win, should we do something to celebrate you didn’t die? Maybe work on something together?”
“You know what; why not?” The two did just that since the Ark would now be traveling back to Aispir City again or rather a place in the surrounding area for the next race. It was during this the two chameleons got even closer. And here Meelo realized something. Jessica was actually much better for him than Vyxx ever could be. The guy no longer had a crush on the hyena, especially with learning she was working for the enemy. But Jessica here not only could keep up with him intelligence wise, they actually had more in common than he realized. The female even tried her attempts on the black box but even though they both suspected it wouldn’t work, they had to try. And because of all this Meelo found out it was her all along that he liked in reality. Not as a friend but in a romantic sense. For now, there wasn’t time to act on these feelings. But Meelo knew this; he’d found the perfect girl for him.
