SWAT has been called in! A crime, a disturbance. But the aftermath is far more bizarre, a warp in reality that turns everything colorful and furry.
The negotiator will have to go in, and talk down the one manifesting the tear. He can't lend a helping hand, but how about a helping hoof?
There are two versions of this story! The second one I'm writing is FAR more gratuitous with the TF. Still, I feel we'd be cheating if we just caused mass TF without a chance for a happy ending where everyone's alright.
Do you like what you see? I'm getting close to publishing a book filled with these sorts of more wholesome, short-form TFs. You know you want one!

Pffft. Thanks.
I just like the happy ending here...and...
Oh. Oh my...we might actually be able to spin off from this. Because this kid has to be able to cause this SOMEHOW... so even after he’s back with his family and has his happily ever after, there could still be...incidents. Maybe Casey ends up able to help out a bit more in cases like this, who knows!
Although I still look forwards to the gratuitous ending.

That was one of the most powerful things I've ever read of yours. It had a level of contrast and joyful seriousness that could only be paralleled to the vivid descriptions of the story itself. Your always so self aware of the your worlds and of how your characters would "Feel" them. The little details like the "dragonflies coming back" thought brings us through the eyes of those you describe. Your work is so poetic at times "They sat for a while, letting the greyscale stain slowly be washed away with blue tears and green sadness and red fury and purple selfishness. The white and black wasn’t so, notanymore, and the colors filled the hole in the place sure as could be." Its moving stuff. You sure have the gift of story telling.
I loved this. I love how the character takes things in stride but in a practical “I trained for this” way. I love how its mature and serious even in the face of whimsy.
Personally, I’m not as big fan of whimsical stories. I prefer them to be a bit more grounded. This hit a nice balance.
Honestly, you have a really whimsical style which is not really appealing to me. I just read your work because its Really well written.
