hooo boy, I was somehow very behind on both of these comics X'-D
Alright, lemme see if I've got this timeline correct:
-Ciel is Illeroi's magic advisor when the queen was alive and the princes were just kittens
-Magic war occurs in the "north", Illeroi comes back changed
-Queen dies, Illeroi tries to purge magic and burns Ciel, but Hazel is secretly watching over all of this and hides others in a time warp
-Events of Cinderfrost 1+2: Ciel (and maybe others) appear in the non-magic world, and "helltouched" begin appearing
-Meanwhile, time is passing in the magic world, and the king's sons grow up
-Events of Silk Sash: resolution to current war is attempted, resulting in Illeroi being overthrown, but A'Hkyl escapes
-A'Hkyl somehow sets into motion Hazel's plan to restore magic to their world; events of Cinderfrost 3 (this chapter)

Oh wow! An explanation for the Glamour! Uh oh, it looks like White Prince Kitty was a virgin at the time (must be before he had Taryn in his bed... and suddenly A'khyl's obsession/love with his fox-slave makes more sense: could Taryn be the only one the prince has laid down with? I hear that virgins get clingy, haha) and blown her cover.
Also, considering how many magic beings were burned, it now makes sense why Ciel was alone for so long: he was simply far down on the list of people Shadow Unicorn was going through to reassure them. Or at least that's my guess. I could be wrong.
And I glanced down through the comments: the king's name is "Il Le Roi"... I never noticed that. xD Although I did notice that his name had "ill" in it, so I wondered if that was because he was, on some level, mentally ill.

The few questions I have are, has Hazel transported anyone other than Ciel to this world? Because if that's the case then that means she only transfered the magic to the new world's "hell-touched" not the magic users being burned on the pyres themselves. What makes Ciel the exception if that's the case?
I have a feeling A’khyl has a very important role to play in this story. The rebels at the end of silk sash were fools to dismiss him as a non threat, one of the many mistakes they have made. At best I imagine he is needed to bring everyone back, at worst he is a symbol for Illeroi’s followers to stand behind should their king be executed. If I may make a suggestion when it comes time to explain the witch’s back-story, tell it from both her and Illeroi’s point of view, that way we get the full story. The depth you give these characters is what makes your stories all the more enjoyable.
