The original picture is by a friend of mine on DA. She takes such beautiful pictures of these big cats that I felt that I had to paint one...the trouble was picking which picture I wanted to paint.

So finally I settled on this one...I'm definitely not used to painting big cats, but since it's my first time doing so I thought it didn't turn out too bad...I have a couple more pictures of hers that I would love to paint.

This is a mother white tiger and her cub...what I find so sad is that the mum is actually cross-eyed due to inbreeding...poor dear.


hmm this took me about 26 hours to complete from sketch, to the final product.
