Yeah, this is how I feel after dealing with Linux when it doesn't want to do something I want it to do. Unlike a Mac where you have to trick it into doing what you want to do, with Linux you will be trouble shooting the problem for the next four hours, downloading and installing debs, extracting a bunch of files to do ./configure, make, make install on, etc.
Macer is a pun on Acer, the brand of laptop I use.
