The world is burning. Our home is on fire.
Forest fires happened in the past, but their the frequency and intensity increases with the proceeding climate change.
Slash-and-burn methods to free land from rain forests in favor of ranches and mining have destroyed ten thousands of square kilometers and suffocate the lungs of our planet.
480 million mammals, birds and reptiles have died up to now in the on-going forest fires in Australia.
People had and have to leave their homes to the flames and escape to ships on the ocean, where no fire can reach them, the smoke of their burning homeland stuck in their lungs.
But not all hope is lost yet. We're still alive. We can still become the inspiration and role models of generations to come.
Let's all do the best we can and work together in the mission to heal this planet.
Let us be the heroes who save the world!
What can you do to be a hero?
- plant trees
- plant insect friendly flowers
- reduce your consumption of plastic, oil and gas
- reduce your consumption of animal products
- buy regional and seasonal products
- avoid and separate waste as much as you can
- teach others
