I haven't written much, but I'm interested in trying new things this year. I joined Rovel_von_Renard 's writing discord and this is my story for our first prompt. If you want to join too, take a look at his journal: https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/9365415/ . We would love to have more participants!
I decided to use Spence, a character we last saw as an anthro becoming snake food. The theme was switching pred/prey roles for a character, so this time he gets to eat somebody (Now as a feral.) Hopefully I'll be able to give Spence more characterization in the future as I'd like to keep using him for lots more fun stuff.
As I'm still new at this I would not mind hearing feedback!

I though this was well written and pretty realistic, though a mouse would be more plausible than a rat for a fox to swallow whole and alive. Since the rat had been swllowed alive, I think it would have been interesting to continue to story, switching it to the rat's perspective of what it was like in the fox's stomach. Since this one meal would only hold the fox over another couple of days, so it might have been interesting to have developed the story further (if these are storybook type talking animals), for the fox to spare the rat if he could use it to catch a continuous supply of rats to survive the whole winter. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the feedback! I actually considered using a mouse for this one, but I figured a rat would require more effort to down, which I wanted to emphasize. Though I could see how something smaller could be interesting too. I might have to see if I can work some of these ideas into one of these later. The prospect of being stuck alive in a fox's stomach is pretty interesting.
Of course, rats vary in size, but a typical rat, like the pet ones with a six inch body would be very difficult for the average fox to swallow whole, though a wolf could certainly manage it. Thjis is assuming these are natural type animals, and not 'cartoon' ones capable of amazing feats impossible for real animals.
