The Xbox launched in North America on November 15, 2001. Popular launch games included Halo: Combat Evolved, Project Gotham Racing, and Dead or Alive 3. All three of these games would go on to sell over a million copies in the US.
I was living in lower East Side NYC and I got to get the Xbox on launch day 2001 and with only ONE game I wanted to play, HALO. Nuff said.
20 games was out for this system.

This was a good time to be a gamer I felt. Halo and Mechassault were my first games on the Xbonk. Been a Battletech fan for ages already so having a new battletech universe game was something to look forward to. I can't tell you the time I must've spent on the original halo and halo 2. The memories.
