Watched the video. Pretty neat, as usual.
I took some time (and the mention in the video that the point isn't "that foxes just have no money") to get the joke. I should expect that, were I not a furry, and not consequently in the habit of treating anthropomorphism as a default, I would get the intended meaning first. I don't know, though I doubt it, whether this mistake can be expected from other people (and namely furries), but I should guess that you've gotten reactions besides this one that should tell you.
