Great job so far! Horses are hard animals to master! I learned how to draw them before anything else, so now i find myself having a VERY hard time adapting to draw Wolves and Lions even though their anatomy is a bit more cut and dry XD

I love the character that you give your horses, shows that they're real beings (in my opinion) and not just some play toy for the artist to get more views.

It's really depressing sometimes seeing how accomplished other Equine artists are, and what they've submitted, but there are things I can pride myself on, like that my horses aren't a direct mirror to Spirit's Style (it seems most horse artists that dont do realistic emulate this style) and the other aspect is i can get humor from it because I don't take my self seriously like a lot of much better artists.

Drawing is therapeutic for me when i get stressed, and also something that helps me get my emotions out, regardless what they may be. the second it stops being fun for me and starts being a chore, is the very same moment i'll just stop drawing.

But really, thank you very much for the compliment, it really means a lot, really it does! I don't get many compliments because my stuff isn't "Epic" so to get something this specific and heartfelt, i mean, it really makes me feel proud of what i do, but not in a "prideful" way if that makes sense XD

*chuckles lightly* Yeah I've noticed that a few times myself. Being able to draw 'well' will get you to be popular, and don't get me wrong, I love looking at good art, but it ISN'T good if it's just the same bland picture time and again; that's not art. Another thing I've noticed is it doesn't matter how skilled you are as long as it's porn, something that never ceases to amaze me. Thus, it's always good to come across someone who draws because they like it; it's those people who put effort in to make something with character; not just a large peen or awesome shading.

Seriously, my characters, all 4 of them (or 3, i lump the unicorn and wolf together as they're mostly the same) reflect ME. I put time and thought into the designs to reflect the personality of the character. They aren't "Murrsonas" I did NOT create them with the sole intention of commissioning Epic artists for porn of them. Furthermore, their personalities reflect different parts of myself. My Fears, My Joys, and even my Lusts (yes, you can have a lusty character and never draw porn) and it really REALLY disappoints me to see how many furries make these characters and put so little thought into them.

It's so refreshing to meet someone who views their artwork and the fandom the same way I do. Seriously, it's wonderful x_x! <3

I think you just did, actually :P hehe.

And I fully agree; I actually used to RP before I came to the fandom, and no matter what my character (most frequently a demigod, actually - it's useful to have in the story and I was like, the ONLY person who didn't abuse the heck through the powers) it was always a little bit of me. I just don't any more 1) because I don't have the time, but mainly 2) because everyone wants to 'yiff'; that's it. Heck, this is probably the first picture that I've ever done that wasn't specifically related to either myself, or one of my stories - and that's just because I saw an awesome design and it inspired me.

That being said, I love the fandom, really I do; but it just isn't "art", it's blatant porn most of the time. I have nothing against porn, it's a good business and a good product; but sometimes I wonder if FA is an art site, or a porn site. As much as I hate the religiousness of it, I find myself becoming ever more fond of thereons - simply because it's not just something to get off to, it's what they consider to be a part of themselves.



*reads his post and blushes slightly* Sorry, I tend to go on a bit, and thus usually end up repeating myself. But I have to agree, it's nice to meet someone who isn't here for either the porn or to be an attention
