This is nearing the final draft of my boards/animatic for my first year film in CalArts. I think I'll begin animating by tomorrow once I add or tweak some things.
Wrote a scene script (no dialogue, just action and explanations). So if you want it, I can post it?
I also got a composer working with me too. I hear he's popular in campus and in Facebook!
Yes, it's fast, I want to show you what I've done without boring you, and also giving you just a small taste of what's to come. I'm not dead!

Fuck dude, this comment makes me so happy. I've been more than frustrated a couple of times because a ton of people in my school didn't get it or really like it, and I've been working my ass off, taking advice and re-doing things over and over to get it to the way I want it.
Thanks man, really. It's going to be a complex film, and I think that once I begin animating, everything will unfold in it's proper way, which it is.
What I want most out of this is that people take what they like about the film and create their own experience with it, an interpretation of what happened, so their memories become like water, changing, and flowing in it's own current separate and similar from everything else.
It's malleable, that's what I want. I want to represent this film like Water.

Seriously? Holy shit dude, I can't believe you liked it that much. I'm just flipping out right now with so much of the positive comments! I've been getting tons of mixed reviews from my animation friends and my story teacher doesn't like it much. Most of my other teachers are excited about it, and want me to work hard, and I hope I can bring this justice by the time I'm finished!
Because you didn't bank on the loose and fast nature conveying such a strong message?
I'm telling you what, I wish you went to my school and got to sit in this painting class I'm taking. It's making me question everything from art to religion. It's helping me appreciate the preliminary side of things even more.

My school has been making question my place in society and art, and what I can do and learn to find myself through it.
My Color and Design class drilled me pretty hard too with preliminary stuff. I really love your stuff too dude! I'll be posting the rough music for my film tonight!
But yes, I'd love to take a painting class with you!
