Their 9-5 is literally just standing in a dungeon, which no one has walked into in 100 years, in the off chance a hero will walk through. lol

Honestly i find more suspect the treasure chest....After a while dungeon crawling make you little bit paranoid Between traps, random encounter and shapeshifter assorted you are never too cautious. Everything (literally everything)can and will kill you given a chance

Actually could happen. I think there is, canonically,a monster that is actually a sentient dungeon somewhere...at least there is one that is a dungeon room. Still better than that fucking gelatinius cube.....Wizard and gods in D&D have way too much free time on their hand.
