My cat Cricket and my partner's dog Freybug. We were getting ready to both move in together and for him to adopt the little bug, so I drew this to celebrate our new family. It was also summertime, when the fireflies are out in the early evenings, and I was demoing to a teen summer camp the glow effect in Photoshop.

In reality, it's Freybug who does all the chasing, but Cricket sometimes baits her into it, as chase is one of Cricket's favorite games. Unfortunately, as our roommate put it, Cricket's idea of games is a complicated JRPG and Freybug is just playing Call of Duty so they don't always play smoothly together. Hopefully as the bugbrain gets a little less puppy energy, Cricket will be more tolerant of her insanity.
