“Where are we going?” Taylor, a white-haired young man, spoke quietly. He was walking with a small group of people, all impeccably dressed, as was he.
“Take care of business,” a tall, raven-haired woman replied. Scarlett looked at her cousin and offered him a small smile; something rare. “You can participate if you’d like.”
Taylor ran a hand through his hair and was glad his eyes were hidden behind his sunglasses; he didn’t want to seem weak. He swallowed in dry and adjusted his tie a little, an attempt to loosen it. The lump in his throat grew with Scarlett’s intense gaze.
“I think I’ll pass, cousin, if you don’t mind,” Taylor pipped up quietly. “Maybe next time?”
Scarlett nodded slightly and focused her eyes on the streets. It was a busy afternoon, many people occupied the streets on their way to work, perhaps returning to their homes or even going for a shopping spree.
“There will come a time where you will need to learn how to defend yourself, Taylor. I know you found passion tailoring our suits, but I brought you with me so you could watch how we- how I work,” said Scarlett.
“Scar, I appreciate the sentiment, but-”
“I’m not letting anyone from our family die, not again. You do not have to engage in anything today, but I brought you with me to take a few mental notes on what to do. Family comes before anything, to me.”
Taylor’s shoulders slumped and he let down a discontent sigh. The boy really disliked that branch of work, the branch his cousin so expertly worked at; she was the boss, after all. Having such a recognized family member in the “underground” world was as rewarding as it was dangerous. For instance, she had many prizes on her head (not that anyone would ever dare to confront her… dead men tell no tales, after all), and secondly, she was as evil as they get when she wasn’t in a good mood. Money was no issue for their family, but all that money came from somewhere, or someone, presumably dead.
Taylor was about to open his mouth when his cousin interrupted him.
“And Taylor, remember to never retract, never explain, never apologize. Just get things done and let them howl.” Scarlett came to a stop in front of a rather large house, enormous gates separating them from it. How time flies.
“How did you get intel on this guy? Isn’t this the Carter family’s mansion?”
“Let’s say someone shared theirs with me,” Scarlett replied shortly.
Taylor blinked rapidly, “I thought you didn’t negotiate with others… was it a friend?”
“He’s not my friend, it's just business.”
The men that accompanied the two cousins waited for their orders, one heading towards the security cabin. It didn’t take more than a couple of minutes for the security person to open the gates for them. Scarlett turned her attention to Taylor, her red, snake-like eyes tinted with what seemed to be mirth. What an odd feeling to be feeling in such an occasion. Thinking well, that was the woman that took care of her ex-boyfriend; she did have a good reason to do so, and he deserved it.
“If you feel sick, Joshua will accompany you outside for some fresh air.”

Guess who's back with new art and a whole new story for her children? That's right, this shithead right here
I spent about 4-5 years developing Scarlett's story as well as her family's, to destroy it in a 3h train ride.
I present you the new Scarlett, the mafia boss. Taylor, the young man next to her, is her close younger cousin who joined her on the business as her personal tailor; he tailors her suits as well as her personal favorite workers. Scarlett went from this shy, sweet girl to a twisted minded crime boss. She's still caring to those who are the closest to her (mainly family members), and she can be sweet, but on a more moderate level. She experts in heists and getting rid of her own evidence by getting the victims killed. She doesn't have many friends because she doesn't trust anyone but her family; the only exceptions being her two childhood friends, Olivia and Cameron (who both also work with her) and another mafia boss, who she sometimes does business with.
This was entirely done in my new tablet, Kamvas Pro 20, and I couldn't be happier! It's so much easier to draw because I can see what I'm doing as I'm drawing, it's great really!
