Maille is Zen. When you 'get' it, it calms you- it relaxes you- it's a peace that only we maillers understand. Lovely O6-in-1, bro- keep it up! And I can see you're using bolt cutters for your rings. Nib-fu at work! There's no real happy medium for that with butted maille, though, sadly- it's a lot more tolerable in riveted, but oh GOD rivetMaille is sooo much worse. And yes, a gaunlet would be a total pita to do with that- you're looking at probably 18-20g rings, no larger than 1/8ths ID, probably smaller than that.
Insanity maille? That's just another name for micromaille, right? I see pieces, and sometimes I want some of my own. I'd hate to make maille from those 3/16" rings I made, even. Imagine the tedium! But I'll probably get tempted later, and put myself through the ordeal. -_-

I hate when I mess up a comment too, don't feel bad. And yes- There's two 'levels' of smaller maille- minimaille, which starts at anything UNDER 1/4 ID, and insanity maille, where you use nothing thicker than 20g wire, and usually go much, MUCH smaller. I would probably snap a shot of my ring and watchfob, but, well- I just woke up, and the pollen in the air is kicking my butt into feeling extremely lazy. :(
