Naru Kernua was a Jedi Padawan that was training roughly before Order 66 was fully announced. Early in her training, her transport craft, which at the time was carrying her from a routine training mission with her master back to Coruscant, has a reactor coolant leak, causing it to go critical. Despite her and her master's attempts to hold the reactor together using the Force, the exploded on the landing bay.
She lost her Master, and both of her legs - but that did nothing to impede her wishes to continue her training as a Jedi. Now equipped with the latest in the line of leg replacements, her heavier-set legs will carry her forward to a hopefully bright future.
