So I was thinking that I haven't seen that many Alicorn Zebra OCs around so I decided to make one! Honestly she was extremely fun to design. I did lots or research on African style jewelry and symbolism to make her just right. Even her name is of African origin in keeping with the overall theme. It's Western African (Yoruba) for "we asked for her, and behold, we got her."
Her Cutie mark I feel may need some more explanation. It is the African Adinkra Symbol NSOROMMA (Children of the Heavens AKA Stars). This is the Symbol of Guardianship, a reminder that there is always someone in the heavens watching out for the people down below on earth. I thought that meaning fit pretty well with a princess. Seeing as how it is their job to protect and lead their subjects.
