Second update on my journey in Poland.
Today no skiing, instead we visited the all-known biggest destruction camp from the second world war named Auschwitz.
Not a fun 4 hours, as it's pretty hard to imagine you stand on a place where more than a million people have been killed. Standing in gas chambers was the most unreal ever. It sure shocked me and touched me.
Though it's a big impact it's surely worth visiting if you ever get the chance. Here a picture of one of the fences in the second camp.

Well. I have to say I will never visit this. I would rather nuke this place and bury it. This place is the shame of mankind and I wonder why they don't brake it down. They waste money on this place to keep it intact that they rather should use to give food to hugry people ><
Haha.. Good joke. Whenever a german says something against a - sorry - jew or whoever he is adressed as a Nazi. >< They will never let us live a normal life.
(And I don't say we should forget but Everybody else won#t give Germans a chance to try - at least try show they want to make up for it)

I can say for sure that there are many in Poland who will never forgive Germans and doesn't distinguish Germans and Nazi Germans.
However, I disagree that there are no people who are able to distinguish it.
There are for sure Polish who does understand history and doesn't call every German Nazi.
However, if we burry such places, next generations will not remember mistakes of the past.. keeping history (in theory) gives at least chance for future generations to learn from it.
If someone will try to change past history, such places will be enough prove and until they will be kept, no one can easly just change it in his own vision, keeping the key-facts intact.
That's the main purpose of keeping such places.
Perhaps I'm not a good example, as I don't like Poland as it is now, and I'm next generation, however I do give Germans a big chance and I'm sure there are more that do so in Poland as well.

Well, I still wonder why many in Poland think like that. I mean. They don't know me, they don't know Germans at all I guess and blame me for things that happened 40 years before I was born (talking about prejustice) however. We germans hear everywhere everyday about how evil we are and how much we should shame. So if Auschwitz still exists, yes or no, won't make any difference. You all should just be happy to not know how it feels like to be justified for something you never did ><
And thanks that at least you give us a chance. ^^^
And fact always forgotten or ignored: 70.000 *pure blood germans* also died in those camps. for they were against Hitler. Those who still won't forgive Germany kill their honour.

Perhaps the reasons of why they think like that is:
a) Entire occupation they weren't distinguishing Nazi and Germans
b) Our education system STILL teaches about that using word "Germans" without using word "Nazi" very offen.
It will take time till this will change.

we said never again.
but it did...
been to the holocaust memorial/museum in berlin and sachsenhausen concentration camp
at the camp in the hall with the ovens, there was still that smell... it felt very uncomfortable
also felt uncomfortable as i didn't dare to touch the several containers and dissection table at the research lab.
