Hey noodle what did you do today?
Well I woke up at about 11:30 when dad came downstairs and woke me up. I got ready for the day then headed upstairs. I had a few mimosas while opening gifts, and tho it was more humble than our get-together on the 21st, it was a lot of fun! I got some Zelda socks and a book and some hot sauce and a puzzle and a new flannel and some razors! I got mum a book (dad managed to find a necklace that matched her earrings) and I got him some fireplace tools for the basement.
After the presents I had some leftover ham and mashed potates and gravy, killing off the mashed potates and gravy! Yeee! I ate and then headed downstairs for a bit to go to the bathroom and look for my game cams. I also looked through my biology book! I did manage to find the one cam that was already opened, but the other is likely in the shed still.
Mum said she and dad were heading to Carol's and they invited me. I was gonna wear my new flannel but it was too danged hot (Close to 70 degrees, holy moly!), so I just wore my shirt and shorts. We headed over and I ate a couple of her Xmas cookies and drank a beer while chatting with Phil and Carol and Cheyenne while we sat outside on the porch, and believe it or not, I actually had some mosquitos buzzing around! Jeez!
We headed back home and I went downstairs and goobed off online, but I did nod off a bit. Mum called and told me steak dinner was ready, and we ate these massive steaks and baked potates and asparagus while watching that puppet comedian, and I swear he exists to help keep the masses dumb. After eating I helped take down the tree in the living room. We had to remove ornaments and stuff, and dad broke one but getting him to sweep it was like trying to get an insolent child to do his chores. Neither mum or I had shoes on, and when he finally realized he was the only one who could sweep up, he did a half-assed job and didn't even throw the contents away. I had to go get my shoes and finish his job, and it was quite clear he simply doesn't want to be told what to do...It's some dominant bullshit with him.
We got the ornaments removed tho, and then dad chucked the tree off the back deck. After that I was able to go downstairs, where I kinda spent a bit of time goobing off, tho I did decide to clean up the birb cage and vacuum and stuff. After, I decided to assemble my wooden puzzle box. It took hours, and I watched a bunch of history docus while doing so (Best by far was 'The King in the Car Park: Richard III's discovery), and after finishing around 3:30ish I realized one of the pieces in the early stage was backward...It would close and open and stuff, but wouldn't latch. Luckily I was able to take off large pieces of it and fix the mistake, then reassemble everything better than new!
After I brushed my teeth and relaxed on the couch and goobed off online. I wound up heading to bed around 5ish because that puzzle took wayyyyy longer than I thought it would.
I hope everyone has a wooden box assembly day! <333
