Hey noodle what did you do today?

Well I woke up a little after 8. I went upstairs and got some almond cereal, then I grabbed a shower and spent time goobing off online. I wound up doing not much of anything but viewing Tubes until about 10:20, when I headed out and about!

I drove for almost 2.5 hours to a small town called Portland in Tennessee, and the entire time it was drizzly. I felt myself growing pretty sleepy en route while on the highway, but thankfully my journey took me through towns with really curvy and janky roads, and the highway fatigue quickly melted away.

I got to Portland around 12:20 and saw a wreck up the road in the opposite direction I needed to go. I got to the hiring place around 12:40, and was a bit skeptical because it looked as if it were housed in an actual residential house. The doors were locked until 1 for lunch, so I waited under an awning until they opened. When they did I went inside and they had me fill out paperwork and put my resume on a computer...

...And that was it. 2.5 hours for nothing I couldn't have done online. No interview, just paper work asking about my strengths and weaknesses and things I had experience with...I asked one of the two receptionists if I could have an interview over the phone due to my travel time, and she said she could have that arranged...Now she tells me!

I stopped at the Taco Bell as I left the town and got a steak quesadilla meal with a soft taco and a couple double stacked tacos (chipotle and nacho since they were out of spicy ranch). I paid and ate it on my way home. When I got on the highway I called grandma and said it was just a hiring agency, and was a bit of a bummer, but she said that it's all part of the process. I suppose!

I was gonna stop at the store and get lotion and posterboard (for the puzzle I have) but mum called and I called her back and they were gonna leave soon, so I went home quickly. I did get stuck behind a slow car in Aurora, but by the time she called again to ask where I was, I was on the hairpin curve less than 2 minutes away.

I got home and they went over the list, then I said goodbye and quickly chased mum down because she'd forgotten her phone...Then I had the house to myself!

I watched some Time Team and then napped on the couch, and when I woke up I ate a whole cornish hen and some veggies with it, and for dessert I had some ginger snap cookies. After eating, I spent some time assembling one of the wooden puzzles I bought myself, and that's all I did from about 8 until roughly 1. After that I ate a bowl of cereal and goobed off online while watching tubes. I wound up staying up until about 4:30 before heading to bed.
