Koyo is Tsuyu's twin brother, he has the same quirk as her and the same color palette. His name is written as 紅葉 which is the autumn colorful leaves season!
Unlike his sister, Koyo doesn't aspire to be a hero. He's pretty much as happy as one can be just playing video games and reading manga quietly in his room, so he chose to attend a normal high school and work a part time job in a small store to afford his hobbies. However, even if the hero lifestyle is not of his interest, he is - alongside with his mother - Tsuyu's biggest fan and always cheers for her and worries about her wellbeing.
Tsuyu and Koyo were always very close and each others best friend. When Tsuyu moved in the UA dorms, Koyo tried to act cool about it, but cried like a baby when she left. He visits UA from time to time and goes out with them, but at first he was super shy and embarrassed to meet them because "they are too cool".
His hair is covering his face most of the time, he can see well but is too shy to show his face to others.
