Second page of concept sketches for  sodalite 's matamata character. More sorting out the skull and beak structure, with comparison to a sea-turtle skull shape at lower right. Middle was working out the seated position, and why the character would be like that, sitting in the middle of a swamp with cypress roots. So, the cypress-knee flute arose.
