Are you using tube rivets? Looks amazing

Double cap nickle leather working rivets.

They are quite strong, plus I'm using a bunch of them, and its a low stress application.

Some folks have tried to tell me you can't use these for anything but leather- But I have had excellent results using them to fasten light metal, so long as they don't get a lot of pressure from sheering motion.

I've got pieces of armor put together with the same rivets and technique, that have outlasted heavier copper rivets for years.

Ah, that's good to know. I've been trying to figure what materials and techniques to use when I finally start a project. Those rivets just looked like something I've thought of using, and yeah copper rivets are a pain to do from scratch.
