Not-So-Convenient Not-Quite-Companionship
"Let me try!"
Rec had made the mistake of letting Hellfarch see him enjoying being small. Ever since he started going out with Marvin and shrinking to fit the moose's earring so the two could run errands together, he was careful to return back to his normal size whenever there was a risk of running into Hellfarch. One day, however, the demon managed to spot Marvin in town, and upon greeting the moose, his impossibly perceptive gaze locked right onto Rec. A strange look of pure delight grew on Hellfarch's face, and that was when he asked for Marvin to hand the tiny snake over to him.
Rec protested as Marvin carefully plucked him from his perch, but the moose gently held the snake out in front of him and explained,
"You've been avoiding Hellfarch like the plague. You won't be able to make friends with him if you don't spend any time together! I'll keep an eye on him, so don't worry about him hurting you. Give him a chance!"
That calmed the snake down a little bit, but he still refused. It wasn't until Marvin cajoled him with a big, innocent grin that Rec finally gave in. Marvin handed the snake over to Hellfarch, who replaced the moose's gentle and comforting grip with a much more eager and firm one.
"This will be fun! I've never carried someone around who wasn't stuck to my foot or trapped in my cage before!" the demon exclaimed.
"Wait, you mean I'm not going in the cage?" Rec questioned.
"Oh no, that's reserved solely for newly-won slaaaaaa..." Hellfarch trailed off, his eyes briefly flicking over toward Marvin who was already raising a disapproving eyebrow, "...aaainterns! When they first start out at my new company that I'm running!" His smile ultimately overpowered the looks both Marvin and Rec gave him. "Anyway, I have just the place to put you!"
Before Rec could react, Hellfarch had unceremoniously jammed him into the demon's ornate beard ring. Even at just over an inch tall, Rec had trouble fitting his body through the ring's bars, and was ultimately left having to awkwardly stradle one with half of his body hanging out of it.
"Hey, that works great!" Rec was thrown up and down with the demon's beard as he talked. "You know, I bet we could fit more people in there! What do you say, do you want to make some more friends?"
And before Rec could answer, Hellfarch leapt forward into the city, leaving Marvin chasing after him as he excitedly looked for something to do with his new little "buddy".
I thought this would be a fun way to show off Hellfarch's jealous side. Despite having the ability to warp reality, Hellfarch refuses to mess with a person's free will, so social interactions can still pose a challenge to him, and after locking himself up in his own realm for so long he has forgotten how to properly interact with people. He truly wants to become friends with Rec, but he doesn't know how to go about it while still keeping true to himself.

Oh it's no problem at all! I apologize if I left you fretting over that. :>
It's just a humerus instance where the compressed thumbnail image allowed for some wild imagining, corrected easily once I had a look at the full sized image. Took nothing away from the image, just left me with an "Ooooooh!" moment.
