Personally l liked the middle ground where it was intense fun action. The first few issues of gag storylines were... okay but when it started becoming more serious was when it really reached what made it last all these years.
The dramatic dark stuff is fine in small doses...... but yeah Flynn is proving for the second time now why making it last for A year+ is a bad idea.
