I have seen the light
I was blind long ago
I wish that there was a way?
For you to know that I’m true.
But I don’t know how this time
All of the past has caught me.
You’ll know all the dirtiest secrets
I wouldn’t be the same to you now
My passion for your love is raging fire
But can you see past my dark life
You have love and passion in your heart
I’m nothing but hate and spite within me
How can I show that I can love?
Just you can, I don’t know
I try to show the good in my soul
But my dark past get in the way
Give me way to prove that I love you
I need just one chance. Please! Please!
I want to prove myself to you
You say that you trust me

How can you say that know my dark past?

I would trust you with my life. I know that you may have lied to me about your feelings before, but that doesn't matter now because we're back together again. And I trust in the fact that you love me because of "Angels," both the original poem and the song that you had it made into. You shower me with affection whenever we're together and have brought me greater joy than I've experienced in my entire life. You're the best friend I've ever had and a better girlfriend than I could have asked for or ever hoped to deserve I think of you every night before I go to sleep and every morning when I wake up. If I had a nickel for every time you've crossed my mind since the day we met, I'd be a millionaire. I know that you have a dark past and that you have issues, but you might not have become the girl that I know and love if not for these problems having shaped your life. I love you just the way you are and there's nothing that you or anyone else could ever do to change that fact.
