As promised, heres the full-colour version of the Birthday Picture I sketched for the lovable MJ Bear. You can see the rough sketch at (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3143719/) if you'd like to see it.
Central to this picture is the understanding that MJ's birthday is in December which explains why the normally sweet and affectionate Kaffre is ferociously defending what he thinks are MJ's Christmas gifts from being prematurely opened. I sure hope MJ will understand that this was all a big misunderstanding and that Kaffie really did think he was being a good kitty and simultaneously saving Christmas and MJ's Birthday by ensuring that the presents remain unopened until the proper day, and preventing MJ from getting the bad kinda spankings on hims birthday...
I think I may have gone a bit overboard on the expressions and my legs still need work, but generally speaking I was extremely pleased with how this picture turned out!

Frankly I'm happy to see the finished product too. I was starting to worry that I wasn't going to get any more drawing done until my placement was over!
Kaffre's already forgotten being a mean pointy-kitty and MJ seems like a very forgiving little bear so I'm sure he''ll accept a suitably contrite apology from the helpful feline...

What a cute concept. I particularly like how the faces kind of tell the deeper story of what is going on. MJ really does look he's calling out to his mother in a sort of "fix this please?" way while Kaffre kind of appears slightly daunted in doing his guard duties by MJ's cry. The way I read the crafty kitty face kind of says, "But, I thought I was doing the right thing?" :)
It certainly wasn't a happy job for Kaffre, but he felt it needed to be done (his own mama having warned him repeatedly to keep his claws off the presents in his own house so he was quite shocked when MJ casually started ripping his gifts open and decided to help the grownups.
I'm sure MJ will forgive me, but I'm afraid I might get lecture on how I should tell grownups if I think another baby is going something bad instead of trying to handle it myself...

Indeed. Though, in your defense, you are at least showing them that you have been paying attention to all those rules and stuff they've been trying to teach you all this time. I mean, how can lecture too much when all you're doing is showing how nice a kitty you are in playing by the rules like they told you to? :)
