Dr. Leo and Dr. Tigresa return 3 days after administering the serum they hope will revive him. Michael has started to revive and can hear what's being said. When he opens his eyes, he's shocked at the sight before his eyes. He's so shocked that he tries to force the lid of his sarcophagus closed. After calming him down, Drs. Leo and Tigresa give Michael a short explanation as to what happened over the last 20,000 years. Dr. Leo leaves to talk to the head of the Research Department of the hospital, Dr. Tilacino. He returns with her and she asks Michael a few questions. Dr. Tilacino believes that there's no reason for Michael to remain in the hospital and allows him to leave if he so wishes.
Amanda tells her parents that she's gotten the job that she wanted and her father, Jacob, is happy for her. Her mother, on the other hand, is less than thrilled.
Leo and Tigresa take Michael to their home and introduce him to their cubs. Their oldest daughter, 18-year-old Victoria, begins outrageously flirting with Michael much to Michael's chagrin. The youngest, 2-year-old Anne, is taken with him and adopts him as her oldest brother. Unlike Victoria, Michael finds Anne sweet and finds himself taken with her and semi-adopts her as his sister. Mary, the next older cub, doesn't like the attention that Michael is giving Anne because her brother, Edward, picks on her.

I WAS going to wait till I'd caught UP on this story, before making a reply...
But,,, that scene where the Mom is chiding her daughter, about 'Marriage?'...
omgs...
That was MY nightmare, growing-up!!!
Also, delving into the conflict of 'Anthro/Human' relations? I had honestly never gave such a thing much thought/consideration, until I began investigating our own historical/theological examples!
'Bestiality?' Whew... Just TYPING that word is like stepping onto a live mine, in ANY Universe!
You caught me off-guard with that one alone, but damned if I don't respect your willingness to do it!
(No, I do NOT condone raping animals! Not to YOU, but to anyone that might traverse this Story/Comments section, trying to cause any trouble!)
Giving this Story/Universe's extremely long time duration? What a wonderful topic to present/explore!
One quick observation (And yes, I realize this is YEARS late)-
I wouldn't be nearly as worried about Michael bringing-in new pathogens to the world.
I'd be FAR more worried about Michael awakening into a world that had 20,000 YEARS of viral progression/mutation, giving him difficulties?
Also, final side-note?
Very real, dangerous pathogens are already being noted, with the massive retreat of the world's glaciers, and the thawing of permafrost. Things that 'Ancient' animals carried/had protection against? No guarantee anything today is safe from?
So many delightful topics/ideas!

Thanks. I guess I didn't clarify the pathogens part. (Which I should have done.) I was basically referring to pathogens that might have been eliminated after Michael was put into stasis but he never had removed. I was thinking that after 20,000 years of not having to worry about, say, German measles would make future humans susceptible to them in a very horrible way.
I'm happy to know that you're enjoying the story so far. Right now, I'm about 5 chapters away from completing the story (I'm at chapter 60 having been posted and chapter 61 is ready to be posted this Sunday.) I won't give away any surprises but I'm thinking you'll enjoy what's coming.
