It was supposed to be that her ankle was resting on her knee, the talon grasping the novel. It just looks like a broke her leg. lol
The title, 'purple prose', is a faux pas common to the furry fandom - it refers to over-the-top extravagant descriptions or writing. Some furries refer to it as 'wolf speak' because of how common it has become in wolf roleplays.
Example: Svelte musculature shimmered like oil over a lithe frame, twin orbs sparkling. Velvetine pelt adorned in ebon hue, the femme regarded her prey.
In reality the title has NOTHING to do with the image... It just has the colour purple and a book... And I felt like educating those who bothered to read the artist comment.
