Hello everyone.
This great piece has been done by the very talented neophyte-zero

We are both fans of Thuindercats, both the old and remake version from some years back.
And so we decided to do a little crossover between them and let the two versions of Wilykit have a tickle fight.
I really like how this pic turned out out. Both of them are looking great in neophyte's style and he put a lot of detail into this. Of course the best part are their feet, but their reactions, the shading and background are all very good, too.
I watched Thundercats roar and it has one of the worst art styles I have ever seen. There are a lot of other shows who do this kind of art style way better and in roar it just looks cheap and ugly. There are a few good jokes/puns/moments here and there but overall the humor isn't good either. And I am still kind of annoyed by the fact that they cancelled the reboot, which had a lot more potential, care and love put into it but they threw out money to create this mess
There are way better shows out there to watch so don't waste your time with this. It's not worth it.
Sorry for the ranting.
Enjoy.

i mean, it's the same deal with star wars and any major piece of intellectual property these days. Everything must be dumbed down, with stupid men, overconfident females, AT LEAST a person of color or minority and they need to shove in as many LGBT characters they can. They make unwatchable garbage and then they blame the viewers for not watching it.
But let's go back to positive things, that pic is great :)

I don't think you can blame it on LGBT alone. It clearly is a factor, but there are lots with good movies and shows about strong female characters and lots of movies with male leads that are bad. Solo was just a bad movie, so was the Hellboy remake, Batman vs. Superman, the Mummy remake, London has fallen or the Emoji movie. The Star Wars Prequels aren't that popular nowadays, too. And on the other side you have lots of good movies with strong female characters like Kill Bill, Wonder Woman, Sucker Punch, Silence of the lambs, Two broke girls, Star vs. the forces of evil or She Ra and the princesses of power. Alot of Disney movies and shows have strong female chars, like too. Both in the classic and new ones like Tangled or Frozen. I recently started watching the new Harley Quinn cartoon from DC. It does have some feminist themes, but it also very good and entertaining. Avatar the last airbender was a very good show with strong female chars, but the real life movie they made of it sucked.
Case in point: Writing and making good movies or tv shows is hard and for each good/great one there is about a dozen bad or mediocre ones. And a lot of media is getting lazy and only wants to cash in on existing, well know IPs and nostalgia. They do not care about making good movies and only wanna make money and that leads to more and more bad movies.

yeah, the problem is that they aren't even trying anymore. they check boxes. Hopefully, given how badly the last star wars bombed and how so many movies and shows are under performing, producers will stop listening to the crazy nutjobs thay have been catering to for the last decade.
I also love that harley show btw

Yeah, you are right. They are not trying anymore. Seriously, I don't think more diversity in Hollywood is a bad thing in itself, if they did it right and put care into it. But doing bad movies that only tick boxes is a real problem in the industry. Sou yeah, I partly agree with you on this.
That's a good point lol. But Wilykit and her brother have flying surf boards in the original and the 2010/11 version. So not all the Thundercats are useless XD
But I kinda like that they turned Snarf into a robot. And that is about the only good thing Thundercats roar has to offer.
I really like Kiteman. He is a hero I barely ever heard of before, but he is one of my fave DC chars now. XD
Marvel has someone similar: Squirrel girl. She has all the amazing powers of a squirrel, including being able to talk to real squirrels. Kinda like Aquaman with the fish. And she's OP and can beat some of the toughest villains of the Marvel universe like Dr. Doom or Galactus. She is a joke character, but I like her and would like to see Marvel do something with her outside of comics. That would be a lot cooler than an Ant-Man, the Wasp or Captain Marvel movie to me.

Yeah, they had some weird super heroes and villains back than. They even had an evil version of Batman called Mothman who dressed like a giant moth and did some sort of villain/crime consulting thing. And green lantern was week to wood of all things, so all you needed to defeat him was a basebal bat or pointy stick.
The only thing I remember him doing in a comic was monologing on a rooftop before Batman came and pushed him off. Not even arrested him or beating him up like with other villains, because even Batman thinks he's a joke and not worth the effort.
But I really like him in the show. That he is even in it is very nice already, since he is not exactly the best known DC villain. And they did him very well. Unlike in the comics he isn't just a joke and has an arc and very good moments. And it's one of the few times I did not mind romance stuff in a tv show or movies.

I understand your rant completely and to me, the 2010 reboot version of Thundercats should've never got cancelled in the first place. They could've had reruns of the episodes on the air we all seen before instead of replacing the whole reboot altogether with that pointless Thundercats Roar series that's coming next month.
Yeah, I agree with you. Making Thundercats roar like it is now is a bad idea.
It's sad that the 2010/2011 version was cancelled. But that's just how business works. Creating cartoons/animes is expensive and if it didn't make a profit it's understandable that it got cancelled. Sadly a lot of good shows don't get a second season because they weren't popular enough or didn't make enough money.

I did watch some Teentitans go and I honestly didn't mind it too much, even if it was stupid and silly. But I never was really into the original teen titans or the comics. And it helped that it didn't look godawful like Thundercats roar.
But seriously, doing a reboot of the 2011 version would have been a way better idea. Or just making a real reboot of the original would have been way better. Maybe doing a more serious and aim it more about adults who were fans of the original could work very well. Kinda like what DC did in some of their animated movies and tv shows.

I would try tp keep it closer to the original with the designs, but with a more modern style of animation. And a more serious plot and less random stuff in each episode. Also they should make the villains more fleshed out and threatening (kinda like the reboot from 2011). Just so you have some stakes and a goal that the Thundercats can work towards, because the original felt very disconnected and silly/childish at times. Unlike some of the Thundercats comics, which had some intetesting plot lines in it.
