All my kobold characters across time and space; you probably wouldn't believe it, but I have more than Noli and Topl! Noli's there in the very front, and Topl's out in the back.
Going back from the Nol, we have Brimmuane, a former deputy of his home pit hamlet in the reservation. He was spirited up into the comfort rooms by none other than Yuran, who confided with him her dissatisfaction with the reservation and wondered if he would join her in escaping. Refusing, Yuran did her best to leave with her infant son, and Brimm went back down into the pit hamlets with little fanfare. After Pana was thrown from the women's quarters, Brimm took him in and made him apprentice, and the two managed to escape with Anolis after his brief trip into the reservation. He later works as a fisherman in Elssee, providing Chelsea the food she needs for her dream restaurant.
Behind him is his apprentice, Panabrimm. Pana realized early on he wouldn't fit with the women in the reservation's upper quarters. What made his exit from the quarters swift was trusting that secret to a close friend whose lips swiftly fell loose; surviving the fall, he eventually came under the protection of the elder Brimmuane, taking up the deputy's name as his new menonym. Hearing stories of a pair who had left the reservation, Pana sought to find a way out and succeeded. As Noli was taken back to the reservation in his stead, he was able to enjoy the relative luxuries of life on the other side of the wall, and he's come to occupy himself with his studies at a local college in Kingston, Wesson Peak.
The lady he's attempting to assist is Sherlocke (a very cheeky name, considering Cradle has no one of the sort). Sherlocke grew up in the belly of Sponetia, the continent housing Wesson et al, within a nation mostly of lizardfolk bordering the Tualle Council States to the west. A Wess eye wouldn't think much of the landscape, but it houses surprisingly sophistication to anyone but the people who've lived there all their lives. An inquisitive soul, Sherlocke was able to snag a spot on Cradle's first true space program, working with Ferne the cool-headed panther as a test pilot and researcher.
Opposite Sherlock is Gargremahlza, a contemptuous woman of great renown from the reservation. Being as high in status as she is among the women of the reservation, she would think little of the men in the hamlets below until an oddity came into her purview: the boy who was spirited away from the reservation many years ago. Amongst her trio of friends, the topic of the Wess-raised kobold would be constantly abuzz, and an idea was struck to bring him into one of the comfort rooms to see what made him tick. Much to her chagrin, not only did Anolis get away after smarting her across the face, but her friend was a fellow daughter of Yuran and aided briefly in Noli's second escape. Many years later, kobold women were permitted to leave the reservation in limited numbers, and Gargre, as one of the participants in the charter program, had a target in mind. Obsessed, she located the man and pestered him a spell, but as the ways of Wesson became familiar to her, so too did Anolis and his struggles. Putting aside their differences, Gargre would come to use her stature within the reservation to push for reforms that allowed more kobolds, men, women, and all alike, to enter Wesson and naturalize.
Behind the two ladies is Morel, one such charter kobold. Able to exit the reservation even before hitting full adulthood, Morel moved in with Manny and Barbara, the two being tested as parent figures while the kobold matured. Being a teenager, he can be a somewhat contemptuous fellow himself, but on a cold winter's night, all he could want is to snuggle up with Manny, Barb, and a dozen or so blankets. He gets along well enough with Anolis, but his "uncle" has some strange tendencies despite being two decades his elder.
Finally, at the very back is Topl, a probable ancestor to all these babs. Born before the reservations, in a nomadic band, Topl was lacking direction and sought a new master, a rarity amongst kobold society. Becoming part of the band's raiding group underneath his new master Nuan, Topl soon found the practice distasteful and was wondering if there were another way, to both get food and satiate his desire for a purpose in life. Coming in to protect a town the group was harassing, the pangolin knight Doina was able to drive the kobolds away, all but one: Topl stayed behind and sought tutelage from the knight, who agreed to take him up as a squire errant for the Order Gelwe.
...well that took forever. But yea! These are all my babs, so appreciate them. This WAS for Appreciate A Kobold Day (thank you kobold Twitter).
